It's windy at the top, so remember to keep warm! Shazhou Night Market: Although only 1/4 of the outdoor stalls are open during the off-season, most of the shops are open. Apricot peel tea, sand onion beef pie, and donkey meat yellow noodles are all available! Day 2️⃣ One-day small group tour, great value, but the itinerary is a bit rushed as you have to arrive at Yadan before 5 pm. Silk Road Heritage City: Ancient-style buildings, great for travel photos, but regular tourists can skip it. Western Thousand Buddha Caves: You can see four caves, the tour guide is great, and it's worth a visit! Yangguan: Mostly ancient-style buildings, the view from the ruins is amazing, and it's a great place for photos! Yumen Pass: All ruins, the Great Square City is spectacular, and a must-see! Day 3️⃣ Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring Sunrise 🌄: Check the sunrise time and climb the mountain 10 minutes before sunrise. The sun rises from behind the mountain, so you don't need to leave too early. Leiyin Temple: The temple is large and very close to Crescent Moon Mountain, so it's worth a visit! Mogao Caves: Book 30 days in advance! Watch two movies before entering the scenic area to see 10 caves. The tour guide is great, so make sure to listen! 💡 Travel Tips Dunhuang is very cold during the off-season, so bring a thick down jacket, scarf, and gloves! Book your Mogao Caves tickets in advance, or you might miss out! When playing on Mingsha Mountain, take care of your personal belongings so they don't get buried in the sand!
