Wenchang Pavilion in Dingnan, Jiangxi

Wenchang Pavilion, also known as "Wenge Pavilion", was built in the 45th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1780). It measures 7 meters in length, 6.4 meters in width, and 14 meters in height. It is a three-story brick and wood structure pavilion with a hip-and-gable roof. The ground floor served as a teahouse for officials and civilians, with inscriptions of donor lists and the "Record of Wenge Pavilion" on the inner walls. The doors and door lintels are painted in vermilion with couplets, elegant in artistry. The second floor is the Guanyin Pavilion, with the phrase "Steps Reach the Cloudy Pathways" inscribed on the outer eaves, and the third floor is the Wenchang Pavilion, hence the name "Wenge Pavilion", which holds significant historical, artistic, and scientific value. In March 2018, it was announced by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit.
