One Temple, One World

●Scenic Spot Introduction: Da Shi An, also known as Guanyin Pond, is one of the famous ancient Buddhist temples in Dali. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and was once a military post in the Qing Dynasty, hence also called Guanyin Pond. This place is not only a gathering spot for pilgrims but also a place frequented by literati and poets. The architecture within the temple is rigorous and orderly, with majestic halls and lush trees and flowers in the courtyard. Additionally, there is a beautiful legend here. It is said that in ancient times, when soldiers invaded Dali, an old Guanyin woman carried a large stone with a grass rope and encountered the enemy soldiers on the road. The invading soldiers were very surprised upon seeing this, and later, they were so frightened that they retreated. To commemorate Guanyin for protecting the peace of the region, people built a Guanyin Pavilion on the large stone to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva.
