Chongqing Banshan Cliff Line: 28 km "Sky Corridor" Connecting Five Parks and the Pink Spring Light Rail

The Chongqing Banshan Cliff Line Trail is a distinctive urban trail located in Yuzhong District and Shapingba District of Chongqing. It stretches about 28 kilometers in total, with the main line measuring 9.1 kilometers and the branch lines totaling 19.9 kilometers. It resembles a poetic trail suspended in midair and is also known as the "Sky Corridor." The trail mainly links five existing parks: Liziba Anti-Japanese War Site Park, E'ling Park, Fotuguan Park, Hutouyan Park, and Pingdingshan Cultural Park, along with about 30 cultural resource points. The scenery along the way is beautiful, featuring red walls similar to those of the Forbidden City. When the light and shadows play, wearing Hanfu or light-colored clothes for photos feels like traveling through time. There is also a cliffside hollow plank road with a transparent grid underfoot and the light rail rushing overhead, offering a panoramic view of the traffic on Jiahua Bridge and the magnificent confluence of the two rivers. Additionally, from late February to mid-March each year, you can witness the stunning sight of the light rail passing through a sea of pink peach blossoms, like an anime scene brought to life. The Longquandong Taoist Temple on the trail has the Jialing River on one side and a steep cliff on the other, earning it the nickname "Chongqing's Hanging Temple." It is an excellent spot for photographing the Hongyan Village Bridge. Near the trail's end, the Lansheng Tower in E'ling Park offers a 360° panoramic view of the confluence of Chongqing’s two rivers and the Yuzhong Peninsula.
