Yuzhong District Stilwell Museum

The Stilwell Museum (Stilwell Research Center), located at No. 63 Jialing New Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, is a social science museum dedicated to famous figures. The former residence of General Stilwell, where the Stilwell Museum is located, is a typical modern building with both international architectural style and strong mountain architectural features. It is a brick-concrete structure with two floors and a flat roof. It was designed and built by the Tao Fu Ji Construction Factory, headed by Tao Guilin, a major modern Chinese builder. The basic exhibition is divided into five parts: "Stilwell in China," "Flying Tigers," "The Hump Airlift," "Merrill's Marauders," and "US Army Observer Group in Yan'an." The entire exhibition uses a large number of precious pictures and cultural relics to showcase the glorious history of the Second World War, when "the Chinese and American people fought side by side against fascist aggression and, together with the people of the world, defended world peace."
