Wat Phan Tao, Chiang Mai

Wat Phan Tao was built around the 21st Buddhist century, around the same time as the construction of Phra Chedi Luang. The most outstanding feature of this temple is the golden teak chapel, "Phra Wihan Ho Kham Luang", built entirely of teak wood in the Chiang Saen style. Originally, this place was used as the residence of Phra Chao Mahotaraprades, the 5th ruler of Chiang Mai. Later, Phra Chao Inthawichayanon, the 7th ruler of Chiang Mai, demolished it and offered it as the chapel of Wat Phan Tao. There is also a raised pulpit in the ancient style, over a hundred years old, for you to see. Behind Phra Wihan Ho Kham Luang is the principal chedi of the temple, shaped like a bell on an octagonal base, surrounded by chedis. It is a very beautiful old temple. #Waiting for the day to travel

Wat Phan Tao, Chiang Mai Wat Phan Tao, or as Chiang Mai locals call it, Wat Pan Tao, is another ancient temple in Chiang Mai city. It stands out with its royal chapel, which is made entirely of golden teak wood, with intricate and beautiful carvings. It is considered the only remaining chapel built from the Royal Hall, and is the most complete and beautiful in Lanna. Behind the Royal Hall is the temple’s principal pagoda, which is a bell-shaped structure on an octagonal base, surrounded by pagodas that are brightly golden and beautiful. If you visit Chiang Mai during an important festival, you will see a beautiful ceremony, the offering of candles, which is held on four major Buddhist holy days a year: Makha Bucha Day, Visakha Bucha Day, Asalha Bucha Day, and Loi Krathong Day. Buddhist monks and novices perform the floating of candles, which shine brightly around the temple. There are many tourists visiting. Wat Phantao

Wat Phan Tao, although not a large or luxurious temple, has the most beautiful and complete teakwood chapel in Chiang Saen style in Chiang Mai. Originally, Chiang Mai people called this temple 'Wat Phan Tao' or Wat Phan Tao in central Thai. It is believed that if you come to pay respect to the Buddha at this temple, you will receive a thousand times more merit, just like the temple's name. However, some people say that the name of this temple comes from the place where thousands of kilns were built to cast Buddha images. #Waiting for the day to travel
