Whoa! I captured the Lantern Festival Gala straight out of the Dunhuang murals!

Not in Dunhuang, but in Beijing! The new exhibition at the National Art Museum of China is incredibly stunning! Standing before the replica of "Dance and Music," a mural from Cave 220 of the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, I witnessed the grand lantern festival from a thousand years ago. It's a vivid depiction of the "tens of thousands of lamps gathering for the spring festival." 🎈The "Dance and Music" mural in Cave 220 of the Mogao Caves is a masterpiece from the early Tang Dynasty (around the 7th century AD). Located on the south wall of the cave, it is renowned for its magnificent scenes, lively figures, and brilliant colors. It showcases the peak of Tang Dynasty music and dance art and serves as a precious testament to cultural exchange between East and West.
