Yes, we chose to visit the Mutianyu Pass because it was not far from Beijing. It only took about 1.5 hours to get there. Travel: We chose to use the mubus booking service via trip.com. It was very easy and convenient. Before the day of the trip, a guide would chat with us on WeChat to inform us of the time and place to get on the bus. We chose the 8 am round trip. Meeting place: Subway line 2 Dongzhimen station, Exit B1. You will find a guide wearing a red suit waiting. The round-trip mubus service does not include the cost to go up the Great Wall of China. There are packages to choose from. Mutianyu Pass has 2 sides: the east side and the west side. You can choose one side or both sides. The service fee is 140¥. You can pay the guide on the bus. Food: There is also a buffet service from mubus. Or you can choose not to because there are restaurants such as Burger King and Subway open at the pass. We chose to go up on the east side only because the highlight of this side is the Toboggan, a slide car. It was so much fun. When we went at the end of March, the weather was cool and comfortable but still sunny.
