The Xihuang Temple, hidden in the middle of Huangsi Street in Beijing, is a little-known Tibetan Buddhist museum. It was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and was originally the residence of the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama. The Sixth Panchen Lama passed away here. The museum has three courtyards, which are quiet and elegant, and there are few tourists. The Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Heavenly King Hall, Dripping Flower Gate, Mahavira Hall, and Pure City Tower are must-see attractions. Tickets: Free, reservation required.
