Shijingshan Gongbei Pavilion

☘️ Gongbei Pavilion is a pagoda-style building constructed by Shougang Corporation in 1993, modeled after the Buddha Incense Pavilion in the Summer Palace. It is located on the site of the former Jingesi Pagoda Courtyard, atop the very peak of the 'true Shijingshan'. 🌟 Reservation: Entry to the interior of Gongbei Pavilion is free but requires a reservation. There are only 150 spots available per day, and reservations for the next seven days open at 6 am daily, which can be made on 'Shijingshan Culture & Tourism'. People over 60 can enter without a reservation by showing their ID. 🚗 Transportation: Parking: Navigate to 'Xiuchi Parking Lot', and upon reaching the surface, you can see the Gongbei Pavilion up high. 🌼 Exact location: Find the Chagang'er Restaurant, and walk up the small path on the right (no vehicle access). The path is a slope without steps but slightly steep, only a 15-minute walk so it won't be too tiring. Along the way, you will also pass the 'Shijingshan Bunker'. 🍄 Attraction Introduction: 1st floor: 'Encounter Classics' - Jin Shangyi Classic Works Print Art Exhibition. Mr. Jin Shangyi, who once served as the president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, is a contemporary influential and renowned oil painter and educator in China. Even if you are not well-versed in fine arts, you have likely seen his two famous paintings 'Tajik Bride' and 'Girl with a Pearl Earring in Panic'. The exhibition displays 43 prints of Jin Shangyi's classic works, as well as digital art inspired by classic Tang and Song dynasty paintings and museum-level classic pocket watches. 2nd floor: Cultural and creative shop There are various paper-cuttings, fridge magnets, toys, and other cultural and creative products, mainly from the local Shijingshan cultural and creative brand 'Xianshan Fuli'. The Fahai Temple mural and well-digging fridge magnets are particularly exquisite. 3rd floor: Viewing platform Scenes of the three blast furnaces, Xiuchi, the big ski jump, the new Shougang Bridge, the Yongding River, and Hongguang Mountain are all within sight.
