Mandarin Oriental Bangkok...a classic 5-star hotel

The name Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is well-known to all hotel lovers, with its classic style and being a 5-star hotel that has been loved by many for over 140 years. In this review, I would like to invite you to stay in this beautiful hotel for a while. The hotel has 3 main buildings: River Wing, the newest and tallest building of the hotel, Garden Wing, and Author’s Wing, which has the Author’s Lounge, where many people like to have Afternoon Tea and hold weddings here. The hotel lobby is a high-ceilinged hall with comfortable seating and long glass windows that catch the beautiful late afternoon light. There is a convenient walkway to the various wings. The room my friend booked was a Deluxe Balcony Room. The room was newly decorated after renovation, beautifully and perfectly decorated, with a view of the Chao Phraya River. It has complete facilities, even the carpet in the room has a pattern of water and fish, showing great attention to detail. The room we stayed in got complimentary From my friend's credit card, I got a bottle of Sparkling Wine. I could sit and sip wine and enjoy the river view comfortably. The bathroom had a bathtub of a good size. In the evening, the hotel had a surprise to whip up bubbles and sprinkle flowers for us. It was really great. Author's Lounge, the most popular room in the hotel, is located in the Author's Wing as I mentioned. From 12.00 - 18.00, there is Afternoon Tea sold as a set. The main set has Thai desserts, Western style, Gluten Free style, and during some festivals, there are special sets to choose from (like in the post, it is a set ordered during Chinese New Year). Here, the hotel will blend special products for you to choose from. This room is very beautiful when organizing a wedding. Every time I come to my friend's wedding during the day, I am impressed. The shot on the stairs is great (when it is not a wedding, you are not allowed to go up the spiral staircase). The hotel's facilities are complete, starting with the Spa & Fitness, which is located on the opposite side of the river. There is a Thai-patterned ferry boat for us to ride across comfortably. This side is a beautiful and shady retro building. The fitness building has a class room for playing and a Jacuzzi. The ferry also takes you to Saphan Taksin BTS Station and Icon Siam. On the main side of the hotel, there is also a large swimming pool. The Bamboo Bar is a famous jazz bar that is one of the 50 best bars in Asia. With a classic atmosphere and live music, including many signature cocktails that are infused with Thai flavors, right down to the containers used. For anyone who wants to experience a classic Thai hotel that still maintains its standards, I highly recommend this place.
