Worship the Buddha who protects the city at Wat Krachang

🏡 Wat Krachang was built around 1783 (B.E. 2326). The name and history of the founder are unknown, but it is believed that the land was donated for the construction of the temple, and locals in the area collaborated to build it. Key attractions and highlights within the temple include: 🏠 The Ubosot: Originally a Maha-Ut Ubosot, it was renovated in 1973 (B.E. 2516). The Ubosot has one door at the front and one at the back. Inside, the principal Buddha image, known as Phra Buddha Raksa Mueang, is enshrined. This Buddha statue is made of laterite, coated with stucco, lacquered, and gilded in a meditation posture. Surrounding it are 17 Buddha images facing all four directions, along with two chief disciples, following the concept of city-protecting Buddhas. 🧱 Boundary stones: Made of laterite, seated on pedestals without any decorative arches, with bases resembling the late Ayutthaya style. 🏕 Former Abbot's Hall: Houses statues of past abbots, including Phra Ajarn Yaem and Phra Khru Sangharak (Tuan). 🏚 Sermon Hall: The old hall was dismantled and replaced with a new two-story concrete building. The upper floor features a wooden pulpit with an octagonal base, surrounded by murals depicting the Ramakien story. 🛖 Bell Tower: The old tower was made of teak wood in a traditional style, with carved wooden beams.
