Visit the mural paintings and the ordination hall from the mid-Ayutthaya period.

🏡Wat Bang Yi Khan, also known as Wat Muthracharam or Wat Mukharachatharam, has no clear evidence of when these names were used. It is presumed to be an ancient temple from the mid-Ayutthaya period and received the Wisungkhama Sima around 1629. The important and interesting features within the temple are as follows: 🏠The ordination hall, designed in the Ayutthaya style with a curved hull shape, houses several Buddha statues on a single base. Inside, there are mural paintings by late Ayutthaya craftsmen, with repairs and additions made during the reign of King Rama III, but still maintaining the Ayutthaya painting style.
