#triptravelchina - Wat Makutkasatriyaram Ratchaworawihan was built according to the royal initiative of King Mongkut, who ordered it to be built alongside Wat Sommanas Ratchaworawihan. It was completed in 1868. - The ordination hall is in the style of a pavilion, with pillars supporting the palai, three doors, a Maha-ut style chapel, and two-tiered sema, decorated with Chinese stone lions. The pediment is decorated with the Maha Mongkut pattern, which is the emblem of King Rama IV. / The interior walls of the ordination hall have various paintings, including the hands of the gods, the life of the Buddha, and stories of disciples, etc.
