The Suzhou - style Garden of Yunnan

#travelinginchina My trip to Nanyuan Garden in Anning, Yunnan was quite an experience. Nicknamed the "Suzhou - style garden of Yunnan people" and "the First Garden in Yunnan", it was designed by Professor Chen Congzhou in the 1990s, blending Jiangnan garden charm with local features. Stepping in, I felt like I was in Suzhou. Rockeries, brooks, bridges, and corridors were all around. The garden's uniqueness lies in its Phoebe - made buildings and furniture, plus the numerous Phoebe trees. Unfortunately, I arrived late and it was closed. But I visited Yong'an Old Street and Donghu Park nearby. The old street was average, while Donghu Park was like Quanzhou's West Lake Park, with many egrets on the central islet.
