#travelinginchina Kunming is amazing! A random small hill offers great views. After a week at home, I went to Longshan in Anning's Wenquan Town. It's remote, a near - hour drive from where I live. We drove to the top. Saw hikers and cyclists on the steep, winding road. The observation deck was off - limits, so we went to Riyouyou Farm. Parking was free, but entry was 15 yuan per person, with a ticket for a small bread at the "Little White House". At about 2,500 - meter altitude, it was windy and a bit cold. The warm Little White House had great views through its floor - to - ceiling windows. Online, the farm looks great in spring, summer, and autumn with flowers. But in winter, it's a bit bare. There are still grand views of the sky and mountains. The farm has lots of animals. I was chased by geese but learned they're timid. It also has many vegetables, some I can't recognize. There's a camping area. Meals are available, like curry beef rice for 36 yuan. The sunset is said to be beautiful, but we left after over two hours, fearing the dark drive down. On the way down, we visited Longshan Village with old and new houses and farmhouses. Passed the Cliff Inscription Group and Tanglang River, which has an elegant feel.
