National Maritime Museum

#europetrip The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands was a real treat. There was so much to see. The museum is well laid out and fun to tour through. The full-size ship docked at the museum was exciting to explore. I only hit my head once! It is truly hard to believe how people sail so far on ships so small compared to ships of today. The display of ship's mastheads was impressive and interesting to view. The very large and detailed model ships were magnificent. The atrium in the center of the museum is very large and inviting. It is a great place to take a break and relax. This is one museum you don't want to miss when you are in Amsterdam. It has something of the entire family. Enjoy!
