Aswan, Egypt | Is it worth the half-day round trip drive to see the temple?

It is totally worth it! The Abu Simbel Temple is located 290 kilometers south of Aswan. It was built between 1300 and 1233 BC and has great historical value! This archway gate built on the cliff is extremely magnificent to see with your own eyes! Inside there is a giant statue of Ramses II, a column hall and a temple. Because Egypt was going to build the Aswan Dam earlier, the temple was afraid that Lake Nasser would flood the temple, so the temple is now moved (not the original site) This temple is in the southernmost part of Egypt, but there are no attractions or accommodation nearby So it is recommended that you start from Aswan🙌🏻 📍Abu Simbel Temple #GlobalTravel
