Now I’d like to share my guide with you! 🌄【Play】 🩷Day 1: City Walk Start a wonderful day at Victoria Library and feel the atmosphere of knowledge. Then visit Queen Victoria Market to experience the local life. Then go to the University of Melbourne to experience the strong academic atmosphere. The sunset at point Ormond lookout is absolutely beautiful, and finally we enjoyed dinner in Chinatown. ❤️Day2: One-day tour of the Great Ocean Road Although the journey is a bit long, the 8-seater commercial vehicle is much more comfortable than the bus. The vast grasslands and cattle and sheep along the way are a rare sight! 🧡Day3: City Walk Flinder Street Station, St. Paul's Cathedral, Graffiti Street, Fitzory, Melbourne Museum, Carlton Gardens, Royal Arcade, Yarra River. From modern skyscrapers to Victorian-era buildings, this Australian gem has it all for architecture lovers like myself. As I strolled along the Yarra River, I was greeted by the sight of Federation Square's iconic modern design. With its sloping planes and mix of zinc, glass and sandstone, this public square shows Melbourne's embrace of contemporary architecture. Nearby Flinders Street Station, in contrast, is a stunning remnant of the city's colonial past. The prominent domed building built in 1910 remains a treasured landmark. Venturing into the Central Business District, I craned my neck upwards to admire the towering skyscrapers. Our guide highlighted the unusual triangle-shaped Tower Melbourne, before pointing out the striking blue glass exterior of the Eureka Tower. At almost 300 meters high, this skyscraper offers incredible views from its observation deck. Just outside the city center in inner suburbs like Fitzroy, Carlton and St Kilda, blocks of attached Victorian terraces with wrought iron lacework delighted me with their old-world charm. And the World Heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building, constructed in 1880 for the Melbourne International Exhibition, remains an outstanding symbol of the city's 19th century pride and confidence. It's definitely on the expensive side but if you're visiting with more friends it's a great way to try a few items off their menu & that's exactly what we did! I really enjoyed the experience as the food was very delicate & fresh. We ordered about 7 starters & 3 Mains with a bottle of red wine for just under $300 AUD! Honestly, for the amount of food we ordered + the quality I would consider this pretty affordable compared to similar places in Singapore. This new boutique hotel opening in 2024 is perfect for families! It offers a variety of accommodation options, including apartments with washing machines and kitchens. The hotel is located in the restored 1901 Salvation Army Printing House, which perfectly blends historical architecture with modern design. It is also the first hotel of Hong Kong hotel chain Lanson Place in Australia, and its most important advantage is its low price. Location 📍 The location is super convenient! It is a 10-minute walk to Melbourne Museum, 15 minutes to Chinatown, and several City Tram lines are only a 2-3 minute walk away. There are three large parks nearby, the nearest Parliament Gardens is just across the road. After breakfast in the morning, go to the opposite side to bask in the sun, listen to the sound of the fountain, and watch people walking their dogs. You can really feel the cozy atmosphere of peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle. ✅Room experience We stayed here for 6 days, 4 in a 2 bedroom apartment and 1 in a king size apartment. Two-bedroom rooms are located on floors 1-3, while higher floors are for other room types. The two-bedroom apartment is spacious and suitable for friends who need to cook and do laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped and almost impeccable. It is worth mentioning that the bedding on the higher floors is more comfortable.

"Gaol" is just an old-timey word for jail, by the way. This place is intense. It's a real jail, and you can feel the weight of history there. It really hit me how many people suffered injustice during the gold rush. Definitely made me think. But then, to lighten the mood, I wandered into the State Library. Wow. Just wow. Melbourne really lives up to its rep as a city of literature. The architecture is stunning, the books are endless, and it's just a great place to hang out. You can tell it's a real social hub. And of course, no trip to Melbourne is complete without checking out the street art. Hosier Lane and ACDC Lane? Forget boring walls! These alleys are exploding with color and creativity. Most of the customers left with a takeaway box. You can choose to sit inside or on the terrace, but I recommend sitting inside. I chose a terrace seat, but a bird came to our table twice while we were waiting for the food to arrive. The bird was also very surprised when it saw how surprised I was lol. Their feathers flutter around, so please eat inside even if it's not windy or cold. They open from 11:00, but if you come at a time that avoids the crowds at lunch or dinner, you can enter without lining up, so please come and visit.
