It's not just because the roast duck is consistently delicious, but also because everything from the dishes to the ambiance gives off a feeling of "old Beijing flavors being perfectly presented." 📍 Location & Transportation The restaurant is located in Market City (1909 Dining Precinct), right in the heart of Chinatown's bustling area. 🚇 Take the light rail or train to Chinatown/Central area, and it's within walking distance. 🚶 After your meal, you can easily explore Chinatown and its surroundings, making it a convenient itinerary. 🏮 One of the reasons I love it: The interior decoration is very unique. This isn't your typical casual mall restaurant. Stepping inside, you can immediately sense their attention to detail in the ambiance: Warm wood tones create a comfortable, quiet, and uncluttered atmosphere. This time, I stayed on the 33rd floor in room 3303, which was, as always, spotlessly clean and offered breathtaking city views. I stayed in one of their highly convenient accessibility suites, which is fantastic for anyone using a wheelchair or needing assistance in the bathroom. The room was immaculate and well-organized, with a perfectly comfortable bed. Everything you could need or want is provided in the room, and the front desk staff are always ready to help in case you’ve forgotten anything. The location is unbeatable, close to public transport, trams, and everything needed to navigate the CBD. It’s also less than a 10-minute walk to the casino and convention centre. I’ve been staying with Meriton Suites across the country for over 10 years and always feel welcomed, safe, and at home. I’m confident in receiving the best experience every time I stay with them. I thought it would just be a simple drive, but the road turned out to be much more exciting than I'd imagined. 🚗💨 First up was Loch Ard Gorge. The rock-surrounded cove was so cute, I kept saying, "Is this the world of Porco Rosso?" 🫶 A spot I couldn't stop taking photos of. We took a lunch break at Apollo Bay along the way. 🍽️ We relaxed while gazing out at the ocean, and this "quick relaxation" was the best. From there, the atmosphere changed completely, and we entered Great Otway National Park. 🌿 Enveloped in forest, the contrast in scenery was so striking it was hard to believe we were on the same trip. And then...the star of the show: the 12 Apostles!!! I'd seen them in photos, but the real thing was on a completely different level, leaving me speechless. This is truly a view you'll want to see at least once in your life. At a memorial park we stopped at along the way, I was deeply moved to learn about the history of this road. We finished off with Bells Beach 🌊 The impressive waves and the cool surfers made me think, "I've arrived in Australia!" The Great Ocean Road, The scenery changes constantly, It's always fun and moving. Located in the city center, this building exudes a sense of history. It also features museum-like exhibitions, which were absolutely amazing. And guess what? Admission is free! The library has plenty of free spaces, and I couldn't help but envy the environment where people can study in such a place. The library spans about four floors, and there were many areas I couldn't explore, so I recommend setting aside plenty of time to visit. We chose to stay at an apartment-style hotel in the city center, just a 5-minute walk from Queen Victoria Market, for five days. The location was incredibly convenient; attractions like the Royal Botanic Garden, the Royal Arcade, Southern Cross Station, and Carlton Park were all within walking distance, requiring almost no transportation, making our trip very relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel itself was also a pleasant surprise. The Happy Hour from 5 pm to 7 pm each day, with unlimited beer and wine, was a perfect ending to our day of walking. We booked a suite apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, so one of our most anticipated activities each day was going to Queen Victoria Market or the supermarket to buy fresh ingredients, then cooking and enjoying our meals in our room. For me, being able to shop at markets, cook, and experience everyday life abroad is the happiest and most enjoyable part of traveling. Our lifestyle these past few days was simple yet fulfilling: cooking delicious meals, swimming in the pool, and relaxing walks in the park. The hotel also had a gym, which we didn't use this time, but the overall facilities and atmosphere made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. What's even more surprising is that for such a location and quality, a five-day stay only costs about NT$12,500, making it incredibly cost-effective. If you also enjoy a slow-paced, leisurely travel style, this Melbourne city center apartment accommodation is highly recommended. Melbourne is quite different from Sydney. In fact, cities in Australia are fascinating to explore. I was surprised to see that only trams operate in the city center of Melbourne. Additionally, the city boasts a mix of historical and modern architecture. My favorite spot was the Royal Botanic Gardens. It's a massive park filled with diverse plants. In many cities, such places require an entrance fee, but here it's free, allowing you to spend the entire day strolling and admiring the beauty. Outside the city, there are also interesting places to visit, such as wineries. There are plenty of them here, so wine enthusiasts will find a delightful bonus. On our way to the Rain Forest reserve, we encountered stunning landscapes and unique terrains. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to fully explore Melbourne and all the attractions nearby.
