La Pobla de Lillet, 2 hours drive north from Barcelona, is a small mountain village nestled in between valleys and crossed by the Llobregat river. 🏔️ It boasts excellent local cuisine and typical mountain architectural features: like cobblestone covered streets, tilted black roofs and stone walls. 🌲 Amazingly, through the tourist office you can get the key to climb up the bell tower of the church, quite a unique experience that will allow you enjoy the views of the village from the top. 🔔 La Pobla de Lillet is a great chance for a tranquil getaway not too far from Barcelona, and extra tip: it holds a secret garden that was designed by Catalan master architect Antoni Gaudí, more about this in another post, be sure yo check it out 😊 #localescapes

I love traveling abroad and visit five times a year, so I'd like to introduce some of the more obscure tourist spots in Barcelona that I've actually visited! ①Port Forum Barcelona This is a large convention center and leisure area by the sea, where sports events, music festivals, international conferences, exhibitions, etc. are held. There is a promenade next to it, which is perfect for a stroll. It's right by the sea, so sunset time is the best! It's perfect for watching the sun set at your leisure. ②Barcelona Natural History Museum This museum is located near the sea. There are exhibits for children as well as exhibits that adults can enjoy. In the exhibits about the formation and structure of the earth, there was an exhibit about the earth that taught about natural phenomena such as strata, minerals, and earthquakes, and the rows of stuffed plants and animals were worth seeing. The biggest surprise on this trip to Barcelona was the hotel! The hotel's name is Primero Primera. 🔆Space I booked a room with a small terrace. The room was very spacious, but it was a little disappointing that the terrace didn't face the hotel's own small garden. The overall design is very elegant. When I checked in, I couldn't help but admire the ingenious design of the wooden blinds and the play of light and shadow in the room. 📍Location The hotel is in a very quiet area. It's convenient to take a taxi to scenic spots or the subway to downtown. The nearest subway station is a 5-min walk away, and a taxi to city attractions like Sagrada Familia costs about EUR 11–15. 🐙Food For my first meal in Spain, I chose the hotel's own restaurant. The overall style of the restaurant feels like a comfortable family gathering space. The atmosphere is great. At first glance, the tables seem low, but once you sit down, you'll find the height is just right. There are also a few highly-rated restaurants nearby on Google Maps, but in comparison, I actually found the hotel's restaurant to be more delicious.

You can also visit the Catholic church on the top of the mountain ⛪️ Basilica of the Sacred Heart, and the amusement park on the top of the mountain. 🚗 Transportation: You can drive (30 minutes from the city) or take a bus (1 hour and 20 minutes from the city center) directly to Tibidabo Mountain. ⛰ The name of Tibidabo Mountain comes from the Latin version of the Bible, which quotes what the devil said to Jesus. Tibidabo means "I give you".
