The room was large and clean and the front desk reception was pleasant and helpful. The hotel lounge and dining areas were large and bright. The decor was drab and dated with extensive use of ugly carpet and wallpaper everywhere.
The bizarre shower mixing valve arrangement resulted in the bath tub filling up very fast when taking a shower. The pivoting glass shower door/deflector arrangement made it difficult to impossible to keep shower spray from ending up on the bathroom floor. The bathroom door had no proper handle/latch/lock for privacy and was only held closed with a magnet. Finding parking was a horror story. All regular spots were taken and what was left was utter chaos. Everyone else had just improvised and parked wherever they could find a spot along the drive, on the grass etc...
Wi-Fi did not work throughout the ENTIRE stay. The reception staff indicated that the router was likely ”overloaded”. They reset the router but it didn't help. There were no physical LAN drops in the room either.
We paid 20 pounds for a breakfast that was at first non-existent (buffet style - almost empty to empty warmers). When we entered the dining area there were few people but many...most tables covered with dirty dishes, cutlery etc...After an extended wait food trickled out. In the mean time we had to search for the coffee (INSTANT coffee made en-masse). The actual food offerings were ok once they appeared but many items were reheated pre-packaged items and there were almost no heathy (fruit, plain yogurt etc...) options.
The breakfast is simple, the location is easy to find, the scenery is beautiful by the lake, the rooms are small, the facilities are old, pets are allowed, there is a bar and resident singers in the evening, the atmosphere is good, the price is high
The hotel is a very old building, very close to the castle. The room facilities are a bit old, but also complete. The room is large and the hotel is very convenient to go anywhere! Very good stay experience
There are supermarkets and gas stations nearby, free parking, plenty of parking spaces, very convenient. Stirling Castle is very close, 10 minutes' drive. We arrived at Glasgow Airport early and arrived at the hotel at 11 o'clock, but we were not allowed to check in early, so we had to leave our luggage at the front desk first. We had been on a flight for more than ten hours and wanted to go to the hotel to take a good shower and take a nap before going out to play, but this hotel was unwilling to let us check in early.
Nos alojamos allí al estar situada en la carretera entre la isla Skye y Glencoe camino a Edimburgo. Hotel acogedor y con un bar muy agradable para tomar algo y cenar.
My 2 adult sons and I came to this hotel because we had been to see the Kelpies, The Falkirk Wheel and Stirling Castle. We enjoyed the experience . The hotel was conveniently located for all the places we visited and also for a lovely drive along Loch Lomond. I really would like to repeat the trip.

Mmocha is in europeInconvenient location and nice staff
The staff are quite friendly and nice.
The location is... a bit hard to say. If you are a nature lover, u probably enjoy the walk in the neighborhood. There're hills and nice houses nearby. Around 5 min walk from the hotel, there's a nice track called Strathblane Railway Path.
But if you want to get to the city centre, and you can't drive, you can only get there by a bus which is 50 min ride (note that it's 1 to 2 hour frequency). I waited for the bus at the buschanan bus station on Saturday at 7pm (it's scheduled at 7:10pm) and the bus went missing. I asked staff at the bus station and they told me to find the help desk but it was closed and the hotline was also shut down. I waited for the next bus at 8:35pm and luckily it did arrive.
So make sure you check the bus schedule if you are going for a tour/taking train in the city centre!!!

CConnollyPatrickGreat location and great use of university sports facilities. Would like to see a little more selection on buffet and perhaps better stocked.

LLanThe location is perfect. On the half hillside, the castle is going up. Going down is the place where the commercial street eats. The hotel room is relatively spacious and relatively new. Parking is free. The female front desk on the day of the stay was very friendly and very welcoming. I also said that I saw the Chinese credit card for the first time and felt very good. However, breakfast, originally done very well, half buffet, half-meal, good quality, that is, the price was told at the time of check-in, if you add two people 15 pounds on the spot, I also confirmed it because I felt cheap. As a result, the check-out received 19.8 pounds. The gap is not big, but when the argument is different, the front desk of the next day does not confirm it, and it directly denies it. The perfect experience was deducted from the next day's female front desk.
JJonathanNice pub and rooms, ideal stopping off point travelling up north near Stirling. The restaurant is good, with reasonably priced classic pub food and selection of beers. Unfortunately we left too early to have the full Scottish breakfast which was included.
GGuest UserHotel has a great atmosphere very friendly staff and the room is big and cosy bed. The breakfast is superb and plenty to choose from have booked another night there on my return back down from the Highlands.
