The driver dropped us off on the ground floor, and the greeter at the entrance was very polite and helped us with our luggage. Since the reception is on the second floor, we asked a staff member near the jewelry counter, who then had us walk a rather long way around to reach the elevator. The receptionist, however, was quite unhelpful regarding the hotel's complimentary perks; she only shared information when specifically asked, rather than proactively offering it. Perhaps this was because our booking was made through Ctrip. The room itself was great, and I really liked the layout. It would have been better if the welcome fruit had been delivered to the room before our check-in. As Ctrip provided a voucher, we decided to try the restaurant. The food was good, offered decent value for money, and generally didn't disappoint, though the complimentary dessert at the end was a bit underwhelming. When we checked out, our driver couldn't locate the second-floor entrance, so the greeter at the door personally ran downstairs to find him. On such a hot day, this was truly commendable, and I regret not catching his name or staff ID. However, the front desk receptionist remained unhelpful and indifferent. My positive feedback for service is solely directed at the greeter and other staff members. The only minor letdown was not having a sea view.
