The location is unbeatable; Erqi Tower and Dehua Street are right downstairs, and the train station is only about a ten-minute walk away. The overall style still features old-fashioned dark furniture. The refrigerator is an old Xinfei brand I haven't seen in years, empty but with a prominent price list. There's an old-style bathtub and shower, and the shampoo and shower gel are typical miniature bottles. The fake flowers are just too much; they'd be better off not being there at all. You can see the night view of Erqi Tower from the room, but the window isn't a floor-to-ceiling one, so it's not worth booking a scenic room just to crane your neck at the windowsill. The hallway has faded carpets, and there's an old-fashioned elevator and revolving door. The front desk staff really deserve a raise. Otherwise, their unenthusiastic smiles and businesslike attitude won't win them any friends. The room didn't include breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I spent a while looking downstairs and ended up eating at a Shandong restaurant. If you can accept the old-fashioned style and the dated feel of a place that hasn't been renovated in years, it's still worth recommending.
