Zhangjiajie Hotels with Pools

I booked this hotel for my mom since my husband and I stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. However, she said that no one would speak to her in any English (when we were there, everyone was very helpful and the manager was foreign). She also had a bad experience with a massage she booked. She thought she could charge it to the room, but the woman demanded cash, then once she paid, wouldn’t let her out of the room until she gave an extra tip. Apparently that was the only word she said in English the whole time. I’ve never been expected to tip in China, so this seems like they’re taking advantage of foreign guests who may not know better. The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the national park, but the concierge tried to get her to take a taxi for way too much to a different gate. Luckily, she called me to ask if that was worth it and I told her, “no, don’t take a ¥50 taxi to another gate when you’re less than 1km from one of the main gates.” It just made her start to feel uncomfortable that everyone in the hotel was trying to trick her. It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely and the breakfast is actually quite good, which my mom said is still the case. But she had a very mixed experience where the hotel was great, but the staff didn’t make her feel well taken care of. Very different from my husband’s and my experience a few years ago.

Have stayed here during our visit to Zhangjiajie mountains for 4 nights. It was chosen between several hotels in the area and the choice was absolutely right. We really enjoyed our stay in Harmona. The resort has a unique location in a forest between mountains, so u can feel all the beauty of nature. Also very welcoming stuff here who always try to make your stay more comfortable doesn’t matter that time is it. Especial thanks to Cherry, who assisted us all the time and to Nancy from the front desk and Huhuayong the driver. The position of the resort is perfect for visiting main attractions - forest park, canyon, dragon cave - just 10-15 minutes drive and give you all the opportunities of forest silence in the evening after busy day in the crowd. All amenities are good and usable - hot springs, restaurants, tea house etc. And landscape of resort is perfect. The view from the room in 8th floor is wonderful.

The workers at Purespace are really helpful. They made sure that your plans around Zhangjiajie are arranged properly. They also help you buy the tickets for all the tourist destinations so that it would be easier for your when arrive. They give you suggestions based on your preference and made my trip really enjoyable. I got asked if I wanted to upgrade to a room with a view with an additional charge. I ended up in the Panoramic Mountain view room. The room is spacious with your own private jacuzzi. However during the winter, it can get really cold as their heating is not the greatest. I had to layer up in the room and seeing that the rooms are spacious, the heating doesn't retain. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Noodles and a few different dimsum choices were enough for me. Overall a good stay with it being near one of the entrances to the National park. However, it is a quieter entrance hence harder to get a Didi from the hotel. Best to get a contact of Didi driver from town to arrange pick ups from the hotel.

We had an amazing stay at Forest homestay at sunrise. The homestay is a short 5 minute drive from the west gate of the National Park which is much quieter and with smaller queues. The service we received was excellent, in particular from Mr Wu (小吴) who was extremely helpful in planning an itinerary tailored to our schedule and organised all of our tickets for us. He helped us to plan a route which avoided the crowds for most of the day. The hotel had stunning views of the mountains, complete with an infinity pool and a restaurant with delicious local food. We highly recommend staying here!

Heaven! This hotel is perfection! Nestled in the mountains you can be at one with nature here and relax in the most comfortable surroundings. The hotel is an old village that has transformed into an amazing rustic high end hotel. It is situated very near to the Zhangjiajie scenic park entrances such as Avatar Mountains. The rooms/villas are spacious, clean and have everything you could want. There was a turn down service with snacks provided and they set up the projector ready for when you arrive back from a wonderful day of sightseeing. The warm bath on the balcony really helped to relax us too. The views at this hotel are breathtaking! The most beautiful vistas that you can see from the rooms, balconies and the infinity pool (1 of 2 pools they have there). The restaurant was impressive, all the food is freshly cooked and many of the items are grown at the hotel (see the rice paddies and vegetables growing in the photos). There was a lot of choice of food and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant also has some wine and spirits to enjoy with your meal or to sip on a gin and tonic at the infinity pool just outside to watch the sun set. Breakfast was amazing, again plenty of choice and real coffee too. There is also a bar on site if you wish to sing karaoke with beers and friends once the sun has set. The most outstanding aspect of this hotel for us was the service. Rain, the (reception) manager was incredible, nothing was too much trouble for him. He called us the day before to arrange pick up and he speaks perfect English. Throughout the stay he organised and helped with everything we needed, he really did go above and beyond, thank you so much Rain to you and all of your staff who work so hard. This hotel was definitely great value for the price, the location and aspect of the hotel, also perfect. We cannot wait to come back again, maybe winter next time to see the snowy mountains and to sit by the fires in the rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, 110%! We had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

The two men who work at this hotel were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast soup was delicious! A must try. The room was a good size and was comfortable, however it could have done with so thorough cleaning. The pool was a great way to wind down after a long day of walking in the heat!! All in all a lovely stay.

This stay was a great experience. The homestay has its own courtyard, which is very comfortable and beautiful! ! ! The room is very clean, the layout of the room is very nice, the room is very soundproof and quiet. Fruits were prepared as soon as we arrived at the homestay, and the housekeeper's service was great! ! , the housekeeper was very enthusiastic, and arranged a pick-up for us, saving a lot of time, and recommended us a tour route. If you have any questions, tell the housekeeper, and he will help us solve them quickly. And this homestay is very good for taking photos. Very satisfied, must praise!

The hotel is amazing, service, cleaness and facility wise We absolutely satisfied. The breackfast was included and was international and Absolutely delicious. Great variety. The only thing that upsad us was, the fact that tbe swiming pool didn't workbut other wise the hotel is like palace. Its 15 min drive from the main attraction, so wherever wr go we use a taxi. We had 2 nights and 3 days, was amazing taht we visited Avatar mountain and the glass bridge along with so many other activities

The room service was enthusiastic and cleaned every day for three days. Breakfast can also be enjoyed in the executive lounge on the tenth floor. The dining environment is quieter and the variety is more diverse. It is also close to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. Overall, I am very satisfied.
