Hotels in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park/Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in China and actually also over the world and then we have traveled a lot. Their service against its customers are over expectations. They are very friendly, always meet you with a smile on their face when they see you and always ask if there is something they can help you with. The location of the hotel is very Near East gate to the national park, they offer transfer from the hotel to the national park and when we got stranded at east gate and asked them if we could pay to be picked up the came and got us without any charge even though we had checked out the same day and just needed to pick up our bags. The hotel is also just a walk away, about 2 minutes from Baofeng lake entrance. The room was always cleaned and they offer all the amenities such as toothbrush, comb, shaving kit etc. When we arrived at the hotel we directly got te and in our room we had water and welcome drinks like soda. In the afternoon they brought us welcome fruit to the room. They also have self laundry service and offers laundry detergent and washing powder, and also have a gym. The hotel offers breakfast with mostly Chinese dishes which always was very tasty. The hotel offers WeChat, which is a Chinese app where you can ask them anything and they will help you and guide you. If we would have known that the hotel offered transport to the airport and train station we would have stayed here for the entire trip but since we are flying back to Nantong early we booked another hotel nearby the airport. If we would have known about this service we would have cancelled our other hotel and just stayed here. When we were checking out the hotel gave us a farewell present. Thank you so much for your great hospitality and for always giving us such good service! If are going back to Zhangjiajie we are definitely returning to this hotel.

A wonderful hotel! I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the hotel staff for their warmth, hospitality, and assistance in organizing our trip! 1. We were met at the airport and taken to the train station on a free comfortable transfer. 2. There is a free transfer to the National Park there and back. 3. Delicious breakfast: steamed buns, jiaozi, eggs, fresh fruits and vegetables - and all this with a stunning view of the mountains! 4. The territory of a hotel is much larger than it looks on the photo, very well-groomed and interesting. I recommend to plan 1 day to just relax at the hotel! 5. The hotel has a small cute pool with a view of the mountains. 6. The hotel staff confidently speaks English and helped us with literally every little thing! They bought tickets, planned every day of our stay, helped with routes and gave their recommendations. They answered in the chat literally instantly on any question! They were worried and wrote to us if we stayed somewhere late. 7. Free tea tasting of local tea in English was very interesting! You can buy local tea and pottery in the store. 8. During our stay, we counted 3 dogs, 7 cats, 3 kittens and 2 puppies that live on the territory of the hotel. All animals are very friendly and gave this place an incredibly warm and homely atmosphere. 9. Laundry is free, we used it several times, everything is great! 10. You can order dinner at any time. All the food is delicious, home-cooked and made with love! 11. The room was wonderful and very spacious with a large bed, great pillows and very soft linens. 12. We left the hotel very early, so the staff brought us breakfast to go. It was very nice! Thank u so much!!! I’ll really miss this place!

Honestly it is a hidden gem!!!! I absolutely loved it! The attention and service were amazing. Everyone always caring and smiling…. Didn’t want to leave. They make sure to accommodate your needs. The rooms are clean, super cute and the balcony with the pool view is so relaxing….. excellent location, walking distance to shops, restaurants and close to the river to take amazing pictures….. We had the best experience ever at this hotel! It's located in a stunningly beautiful area, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff welcomed us at the airport, and the service from that point on was nothing short of outstanding. Our room was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and had everything we needed—plus a few thoughtful extras. It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels always provided. The food was another highlight—breakfasts and dinners were consistently delicious, made from fresh, flavorful ingredients that really stood out. A very special thank you to Li Jin Ci at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful and kind—she booked all our attraction tickets, arranged transportation for us, and patiently answered all of our questions. She truly made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We loved this place so much, we decided to stay an extra day! If you're looking for a hotel that offers comfort, excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and warm hospitality, this is absolutely the right place. We can't wait to come back!

The location of this inn is absolutely unbeatable! It’s just steps away from Xibu Street, which makes it super convenient to go out for food and drinks in the evening. The Forest Park’s main gate is only a few minutes’ drive away, which saved us a lot of travel time—perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie with ease. What really stood out was the service here. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They not only gave us detailed suggestions for sightseeing routes but also helped us book discounted attraction tickets. Whenever we had questions while in the park, we could always reach out to Xiao Du! That kind of thoughtful, concierge-like service made our whole trip relaxing and stress-free—no need to worry about planning or potential pitfalls. Even though the inn is located in a busy area, it’s quiet and comfortable inside, with uniquely decorated exotic vibes. They also offer complimentary parking and laundry/dryer services, which is super convenient for those driving or needing fresh clothes after long days of touring.

Absolutely amazing! The location is perfect for the park (just make sure when you book your tickets to book it for the middle gate), it was a five minute walk. We travelled with two kids (a two-year-old and a four-year-old) and an 80-year-old. The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful, answering all of my numerous questions, answering the phone when I cannot understand what a taxi driver is saying (they helped me to translate everything) They are kind enough to book tickets wherever you want to go, the breakfast is delicious with an amazing view. My kids could not get enough of the swimming pool, and would definitely just go back to swim. The rooms were spacious and clean, and it was very quiet and Wonderful. 10 out of 10 We would definitely go back to this hotel in the blink of an eye.

We (a couple in the early 20s) stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (3 days). We arrived in the morning at like 11 am and could easily check in. The staff carried our luggage to our room. Frankie invited us to a service group (via WeChat) where we could order food to eat at the very delicious restaurant, ask questions where to go when we were lost on one of our trips or just ask simple questions about the hotel. Frankie is a very nice guy with whom we had a long talk at the hotel bar about everything that came up. He speaks English well and you can really ask him anything about china or zhangjiajie he will always try to find an answer. The infinity pool is nice and it wasn’t busy at all even tho we went to the hotel during Chinese holidays. Regarding our room you can’t say anything bad about it. It gets cleaned once a day and you get small gifts which you can take with you or consume directly (such as cookies). Besides the normal activities in a hotel (like massages and transport to the airport) the hotel also offers a free transport to the west gate where you can get on one of the tours around the Yangjiajie park. (The famous elevator and avatar mountains). One thing we discovered a bit late is the tea room. There you can try selfmade tea, which is served by a very nice lady (she learned it from a very famous tea master of china). She will explain everything you need or want to know about tea and Chinese tea culture. She taught us how to write in Chinese and we had some nice talks with her on our last day. Last thing to say is that the hotel is animal friendly. ChiChi (a chihuahua Pinscher mix) greeted us very friendly when we arrived. The other dogs and the cat that live in that hotel or the street are very nice and friendly too. They don’t mind being pet but they are not searching for contact. If you’re afraid of dogs it is also very easy to avoid them. All in all we can only recommend staying in that hotel, although or maybe precisely because of the remoteness. The restaurant and bar (also karaoke), the pool, our room and the hotel itself has been perfect for our needs. Frankie is the nicest guy I’ve ever met in an hotel, and he’s available when you need him. We will definitely get back to this hotel if we’re in china again.

A Must-Stay for Park Visitors! We had a fantastic stay thanks to the incredibly friendly and cooperative staff. This hotel is perfectly located right near the Zhangjiajie East Gate and only a 5 minute walk from the bus station. The service here is a game-changer. The English-speaking staff assisted us with ticket booking and even provided a discount! They are great at helping with navigation; their hand-drawn map covering all the key points on Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Mountain was essential. Plus, the breakfast noodles were delicious—the perfect fuel for a long day of hiking. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie—the convenient location and amazing service make exploring effortless.

This hotel is brilliant. The previous reviews say it all. Shou Yang Ping sorts everything out (tickets, shuttle to the park gate ~1km away). We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel - the food is great and we had no desire to walk to the local restaurants on the way to the park gates. One BIG thing we learnt: the south entrance (the one near this hotel) is much better than the option of staying in Wulingyuan and using that entrance. Why: -The South entrance is much quieter (we had no queues to get in each day - mid- Sept) -The South entrance is closer to attractions: 500m to start of Golden Whip Stream path. 5 mins on a bus to Avatar mountains cableway (& ＜5mins queue to get on bus and cablecar). The Wulingyuan entrance is where the hoards get into the park. By accident we did leave by this gate (when it gets close to the 6pm closing time the park wardens politely but firmly guide you to the nearest exit! No worry it was a £3 Didi ride back to the hotel). The bus ride from the park (Bailong Elevator is the start point for the Wulingyuan gate) is a 30minutes bus ride from the Wullingyuan park entrance gate. -Zhangjiajie village (the hotel location) is a small quiet tourist resort feeding the south gate, Qiquan Homestay is located in a serene corner of the village. At the Qiquan Homestay you feel like you are staying in a cross between a Swiss and Chinese mountain village - away from the hullabaloo of the city and all the other places that we are staying on our 2 week tour of China (and the hullabaloo of the crowded parts of Zhangjiajie Forest Park). Some have likened Wulingyuan to Benidorm.

Honestly this the best hotel-place we have ever stayed in china. Although the location is not muslim friendly as there is no halal restaurant around the area. However, the staf was really kind to provide us a vegetarian breakfast which really helped us through tbe day. The staf is really supportive and kind to the guest as they treated us like a family which we really appreciated it 🫰🏻. The hotel is really clean and spacious. And its the best hotel if you want to visit the Avatar mountain as it really near or you can stay in for relaxation purposes as it the best for it.
