Hotels in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park/Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie

We definitely recommend this place! The hotel is romantic and offers a complete Chinese experience. We stayed for 4 nights. The owners are very kind and will help you with your day-to-day itinerary if you want to visit the famous Zhangjiajie mountains. They also offered us fresh fruit! If you don't speak Chinese, they will communicate via translation apps. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. It had a lovely view at the garden from the balcony. Breakfast is Chinese style, simple but tasty. It is served from the rooftop with a stunning view on the Zhangjiajie mountains! There was also a possibility to use the washing machines. The hotel was just 7 minutes by car from the famous Zhangjiajie (Avatar) mountains and only a 7 minutes walk from the cosy city centre.

This is a really charming inn. The pool is about 1.4m deep and 20m long – perfect for a relaxing swim or just splashing around. During check-in, I noticed quite a few international guests who'd booked via online platforms. I imagine the existing meals might not entirely suit their palate. My suggestion to the owner would be to consider stocking some frozen croissant dough. Baking these fresh in the morning would undoubtedly garner much more positive feedback from international guests than the current offering of small buns.

The location of this inn is absolutely unbeatable! It’s just steps away from Xibu Street, which makes it super convenient to go out for food and drinks in the evening. The Forest Park’s main gate is only a few minutes’ drive away, which saved us a lot of travel time—perfect for exploring Zhangjiajie with ease. What really stood out was the service here. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful. They not only gave us detailed suggestions for sightseeing routes but also helped us book discounted attraction tickets. Whenever we had questions while in the park, we could always reach out to Xiao Du! That kind of thoughtful, concierge-like service made our whole trip relaxing and stress-free—no need to worry about planning or potential pitfalls. Even though the inn is located in a busy area, it’s quiet and comfortable inside, with uniquely decorated exotic vibes. They also offer complimentary parking and laundry/dryer services, which is super convenient for those driving or needing fresh clothes after long days of touring.

We (a couple in the early 20s) stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (3 days). We arrived in the morning at like 11 am and could easily check in. The staff carried our luggage to our room. Frankie invited us to a service group (via WeChat) where we could order food to eat at the very delicious restaurant, ask questions where to go when we were lost on one of our trips or just ask simple questions about the hotel. Frankie is a very nice guy with whom we had a long talk at the hotel bar about everything that came up. He speaks English well and you can really ask him anything about china or zhangjiajie he will always try to find an answer. The infinity pool is nice and it wasn’t busy at all even tho we went to the hotel during Chinese holidays. Regarding our room you can’t say anything bad about it. It gets cleaned once a day and you get small gifts which you can take with you or consume directly (such as cookies). Besides the normal activities in a hotel (like massages and transport to the airport) the hotel also offers a free transport to the west gate where you can get on one of the tours around the Yangjiajie park. (The famous elevator and avatar mountains). One thing we discovered a bit late is the tea room. There you can try selfmade tea, which is served by a very nice lady (she learned it from a very famous tea master of china). She will explain everything you need or want to know about tea and Chinese tea culture. She taught us how to write in Chinese and we had some nice talks with her on our last day. Last thing to say is that the hotel is animal friendly. ChiChi (a chihuahua Pinscher mix) greeted us very friendly when we arrived. The other dogs and the cat that live in that hotel or the street are very nice and friendly too. They don’t mind being pet but they are not searching for contact. If you’re afraid of dogs it is also very easy to avoid them. All in all we can only recommend staying in that hotel, although or maybe precisely because of the remoteness. The restaurant and bar (also karaoke), the pool, our room and the hotel itself has been perfect for our needs. Frankie is the nicest guy I’ve ever met in an hotel, and he’s available when you need him. We will definitely get back to this hotel if we’re in china again.

Absolutely amazing! The location is perfect for the park (just make sure when you book your tickets to book it for the middle gate), it was a five minute walk. We travelled with two kids (a two-year-old and a four-year-old) and an 80-year-old. The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful, answering all of my numerous questions, answering the phone when I cannot understand what a taxi driver is saying (they helped me to translate everything) They are kind enough to book tickets wherever you want to go, the breakfast is delicious with an amazing view. My kids could not get enough of the swimming pool, and would definitely just go back to swim. The rooms were spacious and clean, and it was very quiet and Wonderful. 10 out of 10 We would definitely go back to this hotel in the blink of an eye.

Staying at this hotel was an incredible experience. Everything was extremely high-tech and made our stay very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and welcoming, with complimentary fruit and drinks provided each day. Breakfast was filling, and we were spoilt for choice. The service provided was excellent, and we were offered free taxi rides to and from Zhangjiajie Forest Park. We managed to do our laundry during our stay too, with the help of a wonderful lady, whose name is attached below. She stayed until 9pm, hours after her shift ended, helping customers use the machines and sorting laundry.

The receptionist lady is very friendly and passionates the moment we touched down from the taxi，She quickly came to help carry the luggage . She would help you the strategy of routes to travel the famous Wulingyuan. She would recommend you a good tour guide with rmb200 per day. I nearly got rmb $300 per day from the guide at tian men Shan. The wulinyuan guide was doing her job well by accompanying us from 10am till 7pm. She would recommend you the better routes to avoid crowds. For this hotel, you can use the washing machine and dryer for free, you may notify the receptionist or security guard if you no time to collect the clothes. You can get them to pass you the bucket and herbal packs to soak your feet for free after one tiring day. The breakfast is good enough and value the money for the stay. You may walk out from hotel to enjoy the road site stall that selling fruits . Can enjoy foot massage along the way , not that professional but acceptable with rmb88 for 60 minute’s.

It was great stay, from the beginning till the last moment! We were picked up and they also helped us to get back yo airport on the way back, which was very nice! Treatment was on different level, nice people, helped to plan and book all tours for 2 days, upgraded our room, and provided some snacks, which might be small things, but these things make some to out-stand. Rooms are big and clean! Recommend highly! You won’t regret it!

We had the best experience ever at this hotel! It's located in a stunningly beautiful area, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff welcomed us at the airport, and the service from that point on was nothing short of outstanding. Our room was spotless, incredibly comfortable, and had everything we needed—plus a few thoughtful extras. It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels always provided. The food was another highlight—breakfasts and dinners were consistently delicious, made from fresh, flavorful ingredients that really stood out. A very special thank you to Li Jin Ci at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful and kind—she booked all our attraction tickets, arranged transportation for us, and patiently answered all of our questions. She truly made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We loved this place so much, we decided to stay an extra day! If you're looking for a hotel that offers comfort, excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and warm hospitality, this is absolutely the right place. We can't wait to come back!

Our host Wu Juan worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort. From staying up late to ensure we had airport pick up when our flight was delayed, to waking up early to accommodate our tour schedule. The manor is fairly new. Our room was huge, very clean and modern with large floor to ceiling windows looking out to a beautiful view. We loved all the marble and stone details in the room. The shower was huge and the modern bidet worked great. We also enjoyed the large tub in our room overlooking the view. Breakfast was plentiful and could be customized upon request. The afternoon tea was a nice touch. The location was quiet and serene, located only 15 min from one of the entrances to the park. There are not many restaurants within walking distance but you can order dinner at the manor. We highly recommend this beautiful property and the hospitality from our kind host Wu Juan.
