The first time I came to stay, it gave me a big surprise! When I first entered the hotel, the lady at the front desk greeted me warmly. I also smiled and spoke softly during the check-in process, which made me feel very comfortable. After entering the room, I am also very satisfied. Location is the big plus. Within the compound there's hot spring baths, historical sites, multiple restaurants (some needing 2 weeks advance reservation). The only downside, which can't usually be avoided in China's locally managed hotels, is that the habits of people using rest rooms / importance of toilet paper refill is different from what some foreigners are used to. Still, overall I'll give it 4.6 stars given the variety and historical significance of some of the sites within the compound.

First time stay at Novotel.The Room size is not every big but just nice . Location is very convenient, 10 min to city.Staffs of the hotel are very very friendly and helpful. Laundry Auntie helped me remove stains on white shirt.They will help to carry luggage and open car doors and will bow to you . Highly recommended

My friend came to Yangzhou and arranged Shangri-La. The room arranged by Wang Shuai, the manager at the front desk, was very good. The view was very nice. The hotel environment murals were very tasteful. The small garden downstairs was also very quiet. The lobby manager Sun Rui introduced the characteristics of Yangzhou to us. I went to experience it with my friends. It was well-deserved! The overall service was very good. I will come again in the future!

One of the best customer service from the front desk that I have experienced in a long time. 石妍艳 (I think her name is Arial) upgraded my Tatami room to a large king size room and she personally lead us to the room. She added me to her Wechat and forwarded some food guides in Yangzhou. The room is clean. Location is excellent if you want to visit the Dongguan Old Street and the many restaurants within walking distant. She offered to deliver some desserts to our room int he evening. Upon checking out, there was a gift waiting for us. It was a box of the famous candy from Yangzhou. Thanks to 石妍艳 and her colleague for their nice hospitality and gestures.

The Blossom House is clean, stylishly furnished throughout, and very well run, by efficient staff who offered a genuinely caring service which made us feel at home. It is conveniently located in a quiet corner of a large, up market compound with many eateries, pubs and even a Starbucks that opens till 10pm, and is situated by the Slender Lake which is picturesque beyond words. In early summer the air was always so fresh and we could hear the birds sing on the balcony in the morning. The hotel also has a well equipped 24-hour self-service laundry room which is especially convenient to us. Special thanks to Emma and her team who have looked after us very well, always with a smile, and nothing was too much trouble. Yangzhou is a beautiful historic city which is relatively unspoiled. It is very rich in culture and the locals are nice and friendly. This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there. We shall return to this wonderful city and hotel!
