Hotels in Lijiang River Scenic Spot, Yangshuo

This is a great hotel, and if I ever return to Yangshuo, this will be the place I will stay. Very clean, great location which is close to the downtown area, but not so close it's annoying. The service and attitude of the staff are excellent; they are all friendly and helpful. The pool area is absolutely beautiful. The included breakfast is ok, but there are times when there aren't enough seats for all of the guests. I wouldn't say the food is bad, but you won't take pictures of it to post online. Let's put it that way. The pool is only open from 16:00 to 21:00 in July and August. The gym is very basic and it's in the lobby, so not a lot of privacy to do any form of exercise. I didn't see anyone use it. Overall, it's an excellent hotel. Just leaving some friendly feedback to help them improve, but I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

Beautiful room with a magnificent view. Big bath tub overlooking the mountains. Big screen for entertainment. It is located across the river. Need to take Di Di if you want to go to the city center. However, the beautiful view of the mountains and the river make up for it.

Hotel staff allowed us to check in before 2pm as we arrived early. Cozy hotel with a nice view beside the river, one can see local people going about their daily lives along the river bank.. 2 horses can be seen in a nearby tiny island. Location of hotel quite close to 西街. most of Yangshuo's tourist spots are around 4mins away by car. Room is clean, tv has many nice channels, toilet was clean and well equipped. Just that bathing area is only one glass panel away from bed. Roof top bar offers afternoon tea with nice drinks, fruits, desserts.

The hotel staff is very polite and helpful, they also speak good English. As the hotel is about a kilometer out of town, they offer a free shuttle service. There are also a couple of bicycles that are free to use and in ok condition. We rented a scooter from the hotel for a day, which is more expensive than renting one by the road but it's super convenient and in very good condition, also comes with a charger. The pool is clean and served us well in very hot weather conditions. We only had breakfast once, which was fine but a little expensive for what it was. It's a western style breakfast though, for everyone who misses eggs and bacon, go for it. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

It is right by the Li River. It takes only five or six minutes by taxi to get to West Street. If you walk slowly, you can get there in half an hour. The hotel has a great view. You can see the mountains when you look up and the Li River when you look down. There are several rows of boats built by the shipyard waiting to set sail on the shore. It is as beautiful as the scenery in the painting. The room I stayed in had a large French window for viewing and a large hot spring bath. The decoration style is also what I like. There is also a capsule coffee machine and a Dyson hair dryer. They are all quite high-end. I think the price-performance ratio is quite high.

Hotel location is the best, by the Li riverside, cross the road for the convenient wondering along the river with the mountain view. Also the harbour station is off the road, only a few meters away, where you get off the ferry from Guilin city center. Hotel is outstanding in all around. Clean of course, comfortable, for sure, big room size, bed good for back, smell nice Restaurant provide very tasty home made Chinese food, also local style dishes to choose. Me and my daughter and her English friend love it. The bread fast has lots choices from Chinese to western Most impressive things to mention they have very supportive team, from reception to restaurants staffs and also room cleaners, all very welcome and helpful. Anything you want to ask for advice or ideas, they are there to help. We have a great time in Yangshuo. Especially great and smooth stay in this hotel. Highly recommended. 🌷❤️

Excellent spot on the Li River, away from the noise of the once-great West Street, but still within a 20ish min walk mostly on a paved foot path from the restaurants, bars, and shops of the area. If you take the river cruise down from Guilin and disembark at Longtoushan Pier (I think that’s the name), the crowd will all head left to the city, but the hotel is to the right about 2k on foot. A bit of a trek with bags, but without bags it’s an easy way to and from the commercial area. Hotel was beautiful and clean as can be. Staff was maybe the best I’ve come across in China (I’ve been around a bit). Super helpful, accommodating, excellent English, and put together a great (and massive) Chinese breakfast. Had a big menu with western options too that served most of the day. Get a room with a balcony and pencil in time to chill at the pool and just do nothing . Great spot to have no agenda. There is a rental garage just across the small road with bikes and e-bikes. Prices are higher than in the city and quality was mid, but the convenience of being across the street balanced it out. To scoot to the half-moon arch are you need to ride through town first, but if you head the other direction, you hit small villages an winding scenic roads. Both good choices. Loved the hotel, wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Yangshuo.

I stayed at three hotels during my trip to Guilin, but this one is my favorite. I was very satisfied with both the service and the room. The hotel is right by the river. Walking out the back door, you can stroll along the riverbank, away from the hustle and bustle of West Street. Watching the mountain scenery reflected in the Li River is a perfect match. I consulted the staff before heading to Yulong River, and they were very friendly and helpful, explaining many scenic spots. The room was clean, the bed was soft, and I felt very relaxed staying here for a few days, perfect for a vacation. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas. Overall, it was comfortable, the view was beautiful, and the service was top-notch. It's worth the experience. We didn't feel the pressure of taking care of children during our two-day stay. The park has a children's play area, making it a very relaxing stay with children. Located across the river from West Street, it's convenient for evening strolls, yet away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel front desk was very helpful and recommended itineraries. We also rented electric scooters, which we used to visit the Ten-Li Art Gallery and the Songcheng Eternal Love. The hotel offers butler service, which introduces nearby attractions, helps book tickets, and recommends delicious restaurants. Highly recommended! You can stroll and cycle along the Li River at any time. The environment is beautiful and quiet, not as noisy as downtown Yangshuo, yet still very close to the center—only a 15-minute walk, a taxi for around 10 yuan, and renting an electric scooter is also very convenient. The front desk and butler are helpful in answering any travel questions. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are new, and there's a restaurant, a children's playground, and an infinity pool. The price is very affordable, making it truly the best and cheapest place to stay in Guilin.

Booking and Check-In I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy. Room Details We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Facilities and Services The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it. Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew. Location and Accessibility The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo. Customer Service The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay. Overall Experience The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness. In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

The room was very spacious, and the bathtub was huge (it took about an hour to fill!). Everything was spotless. The receptionist was incredibly nice and provided very attentive service! Worried about food hygiene in Yangshuo after reading many reviews about people getting sick, we decided to try the hotel's restaurant upon arrival. The sweet and sour pork was absolutely delicious! Seriously, the chef (the 'auntie' in the kitchen) deserves a five-star rating for her cooking! We only ventured out for dinner once during our stay, to try a 'luo si bao' (snail hotpot) on our first night; all our other meals were enjoyed right at the hotel. We rented an electric scooter from the hotel for 40 RMB per day, and cruising through the Ten-Mile Gallery on it was absolutely delightful! The outdoor pool was also sparkling clean! Since it was off-peak season, there was hardly anyone around, so we had the entire pool to ourselves for a relaxing swim! Even though the hotel is located down an unpaved alley, taxis can still drop you off right at the entrance! Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay!
