Very nice hotel and close to the ski area and ski equipment rental. Just like 1 min walk. Hotel also have both internal and external onsen. Daily meals are wonderful too.

It is a very great location if you want to ski in Zao Onsen ski field. Literally the hotel is 200 meters away from the ski field base and 100 meters from a few gears rental stores.

Although the facilities are a bit old, there is no separate shower in the room (you can only take a shower in the hot spring public bath), only a washbasin and a toilet, but the overall style is very Japanese, and the food and service are very good. In particular, the hotel's hot spring is very good. After soaking, the skin is smooth. The open-air hot spring downstairs can also be bathed while watching the snow, which is really a wonderful enjoyment. The hotel can provide short-distance pick-up and drop-off services, such as from the Zao bus station to the hotel or from the hotel to the ski lift station, etc., just call the hotel front desk. The hotel service staff mainly speaks Japanese, but can also communicate in simple English.

The hotel room was very clean, the dinner was very rich, and the breakfast was average. I stayed at Zao Plaza Hotel in Zao. The lobby is spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and relaxing. We had stuffed kido, grilled eel, seared bonito, tuna and shrimp with machi sashimi, braised pork, and domestic beef teppanyaki. The meat was especially delicious. The braised pork was softly stewed, and the horse mackerel was firm, making it a good side dish for rice. The beef was fatty and soft. It was delicious when eaten with salt. As expected, we had a great time drinking sake. It feels like we ate too much. Breakfast was Japanese food. There was a wide variety of hot dishes, including taro stew, grilled salmon, hot springs* and salad. The taro stew in particular had a lot of beef in it and was very filling. It had a slightly sweet yet rich taste, which was nice. The salad was also very filling, so you could eat a lot of it. The rice was also delicious. If you come to Zao in the fall, the autumn leaves are beautiful, the hot springs are just the right temperature and you can relax. You can spend a happy time here.
