Hotels in Daming Palace/Xi'an Railway Station, Xi'an

The place was really clean and nice. It had a really nice air conditioning unit with very comfortable beds. It was very quiet at night with a great location inside the walls. The service was really friendly and the cleaning lady even helped us put our clothes in a bag after laundry when we were out. My only complaint is that the swing is really loud and a little boy would always swing at 9:00AM.

Having previously stayed at Simple Palace, we had no qualms about booking this lovely wee courtyard hotel again. The last time we stayed, we noticed that, for one night, there was the bass of dance music until about 1am. Not a major problem. However, very unfortunately, this time the bass music played all night until 6.30 in the morning, every single night. Little sleep was had, despite having earplugs. It's such a shame, as Linda and her staff are so lovely, the hotel is full of character and the location perfect. We feel bad giving this feedback, as it's totally outwith the control of the hotel, but it sadly would stop us staying again.

The location is simply perfect! The hotel is so close to Xi’an Drum Tower that we could even see it from our window. It’s less than 150 meters to the Muslim Quarter and Xi’an Grand Mosque, with endless halal food options all around – truly a heaven for Muslim travellers. Our room was very spacious with a super comfy bed, and we were pleasantly surprised with a plate of welcome fruit. The hotel also provides delicious and nutritious drinks at the reception, a lovely afternoon tea set for two with plenty of snacks, and even a comforting bowl of porridge at night – such thoughtful touches! The staff were friendly, helpful, and made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Xi’an.

There is a laundry room on the first floor with drying, which is particularly convenient and can also exercise. The lobby is warmly furnished and feels at home. You can also drink tea and drink. After searching for a long time online, I found this garden-style hotel. I originally booked Building 3, but the hotel upgraded me to Building 2 (Xi'an Luxury Mercure People's Building). The hotel was originally a guesthouse of the provincial government, hidden in the garden, with a calm architectural style and has gone through the years. The interior decoration is full of Chinese cultural heritage, simple, low-key and meaningful. The check-in environment is quiet and tidy, and the surrounding transportation is convenient. The service is polite and makes people feel at home. Special praise for the three service staff Lu Feifei, Ren Huanting and Wang Yiming. Suggestions: 1. Add some local special snacks (mini version) to breakfast to increase the experience of tourists; 2. Set the breakfast to be flexible (that is, you can book it after staying, or cancel a meal temporarily), so that guests can go out to experience Xi'an's folk morning market.

The hotel boasts a superb location, directly opposite the Drum Tower and just a street away from the bustling Muslim Quarter. The area is teeming with fantastic food options, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are also very modern and new. My child especially enjoyed the Xiaodu voice control system. I was very pleased with the hotel's cleanliness; it met all my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Xi'an.

We appreciated the 24hours reception as we arrived late at night and someone welcomed us. We received a free room upgrade which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. The room was great, spacious and had all the comforts: heating, hot water, toiletries, a comfy mattress, daily bottles of water. We could use the laundry room for free. The location was central, within the city walls and close to any restaurant. Cons: the staff doesn’t speak any English unfortunately. Even though in the hotel is prohibited smoking, guests smoke regardless in their rooms (like everywhere in China): during our stay the smoke made its way in our room probably from the extractor fan in the washroom, so we had to sleep with the window open.

In the beginning I planed to just stay at this hotel for just 1 night but after I checked in, I keep extending my stay for 4 nights 😆 Location is excellent. The hotel locates in an alley so it’s quiet but still close to tourist attractions like the South Gate. Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful though they barely speak English so it was a bit struggle for me on the first day. But we used translation apps to communicate so it was not a big problem. To the hotel staff: Thank you very much again Xiaoting & Zhengxin & the guy who made me Whiskey sour and gave me the magnet (so sorry I don’t know your name) - forgive me if I wrote your names incorrectly 😅 Free laundry, free tea & coffee (machine coffee, not instant one🤭) is a BIG plus. They also sell classic cocktails and I had two really nice Whiskey sour at a very affordable price of 35 yuan per glass 🤩 The hotel has a small dog name Dun Dun. Another big plus for those who love dogs In general, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much and I would recommend all of my friends to stay there if they visit Xian

The air conditioner in the room was broken at first and it was not cold. After contacting the front desk, someone came up to communicate. We were given a view room and were changed to a guest room. Although there was no view of the city wall, it was an upgraded room type. And considering that it was already late, it was understandable that there were few vacant rooms. I have stayed in the Intercity Hotel in Qujiang. In comparison, I still feel that the overall facilities of the Intercity Hotel in Daming Palace are more complete, and the breakfast dining area is also larger. Although the Intercity Hotel in Qujiang does not have it, I still hope that there will be staff to guide the service in the breakfast pick-up area. Apart from these small details, the overall experience is good. The laundry room is very convenient for washing clothes, the gym is enough for daily fitness, the breakfast variety is also rich, the lobby is also spacious and bright, the hotel is also in a superior location near Xi'an Station and the city wall, the service staff are very warm and polite, and the guest rooms are also very clean. As an old guest of Huazhu Club, the premium of the all-season hotel is high now, and the cost performance of this Intercity Hotel is also very good.
