Hotels in Yongning Men/Xi'an Museum, Xi'an

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent—just right outside Zhonglou Metro Station, making it super convenient to get around Xi’an. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of room to relax. The service was great, with friendly and attentive staff. They also offer a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice bonus. One of the highlights is the view of the Bell Tower, which you can see immediately after stepping out of the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Xi’an!

The owner was very nice, helping with luggage, checking in on any needs, and keeping the room very clean. This B&B has a classic charm and is very stylishly decorated. You can enjoy tea and coffee on the first floor. We stayed on the third floor, and the room opened onto a small garden. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the children could play in the garden. There's even a tree over 1,000 years old right outside the B&B. Shuyuanmen Pedestrian Street is right outside, making it very convenient for shopping and dining.

The location is excellent: within walking distance of the metro station and the ancient wall, the Bell Tower can be reached on foot too if you don’t mind a little stretch. The owner is super responsive via text. Price is honestly too cheap for this location. Room is clean, spacious and comfy. Multiple convenience stores just off the elevator on ground level. The only downside is that the apartment is a little hard to find. We called the owner and he came down to take us to the room. I would recommend arriving during daytime hours for this reason. Owner is super helpful. Will definitely stay again next time I visit Xi’an.

The location of this hotel is good,, near to a passage leading to the Metro station. I have stayed there for two nights. The first night seems alright. However, on the second night past midnight, some weird noise coming from the ceiling which I believed it could be from the unit above. I then called the front desk and a staff came to check on it. This staff claimed that there is no unit above my room as mine is the highest level at this corner. No explanation given but got the room changed. Besides this unpleasant matter, the stay was reasonably good.

Excellent stay. There was little to nothing wrong with this stay. I received a complimentary upgrade upon checking in. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was strong. The floors were clean, and I actually caught a glimpse of the cleaners in another room and can see that they do a thorough job. It was a relief to have clean floors for once, something not seen at every hotel these days. The only thing was there was an extra bed of some sorts, or perhaps it was for sitting, but it felt a bit old since the fabric was velvety and so it's probably not as easy to clean. There's a laundry room which has a good amount of washers/dryers and I did not have to wait at all to use them. Unfortunately, the washers did not really do a good job of cleaning my clothes and the stains on my clothes set in after drying. The dryer also seemed to be very strong even on the regular setting and I think my clothes shrunk a bit. The location of the hotel is okay. It's not particularly far from the city wall but it can be a miserable walk in the heat/humidity, even in September. It's also some distance away from a metro station, about 15 minutes, which again can be rough depending on the weather. The best part of this stay was the cat room. They had 5 cats in a separate guest room. They looked well fed and sociable, but I hope they get some time outside the same room.

The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation. It is close to scenic spots and popular check-in spots such as the Bell Tower, the City Wall, and Muslim Street. At night, you can see the nighlt view of the Bell Tower in just a few minutes by walking downstairs. The hotel is equipped with robots. There is a dedicated rest area in the hotel lobby. It is very convenient to rest in the lobby after a day out. The room is fully equipped with a gym and a laundry room with washing and drying in one step. The room bedding is also very comfortable. The service of the front desk guy Mumu and the lady Mia is very good. The check-in is proactive. The people are very friendly.

Must give this place a huge thumbs-up! The hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's just a few minutes' walk from Dachaishi Subway Station Exit C, and you can easily stroll to the foot of the city wall, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The Xi'an Incident Memorial Hall is also only a short walk away. Even though the hotel is tucked away in an alley, there are tons of local snack options right nearby, and they're all very affordable. The lobby provides helpful travel recommendation cards with detailed route guides. The rooms are spotless and well-maintained. The front desk staff, especially the young lady, are wonderful and provide incredibly attentive service. Even the housekeeping aunties greet you with a friendly smile. There were quite a few international guests staying here – lots of attractive people, it almost felt like a hub for foreigners in Xi'an, haha! Definitely a nice sight. Luggage storage is available at the front desk after check-out, which is super convenient. They offer complimentary bottled water in the lobby, and even gave us some small snacks when we checked out! This was genuinely the best hotel experience; the atmosphere is fantastic and really makes you feel comfortable. Seriously, I can't recommend this hotel enough! Trust me on this one! 🔥🔥🔥

The service at this hotel was truly exceptional. My young nephew even remarked that he hasn't experienced this level of service even at five-star hotels. Our family particularly loved the Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) for breakfast; we honestly thought they tasted better than many 'authentic' ones you find outside. We also enjoyed the drinks in the lobby and made it a point to grab one every time before heading out. We tried the late-night snacks once, and they were quite good. The airport pick-up service was fantastic too; the driver was very proactive and helped us with our luggage right away.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with the subway station entrance just a four-minute walk away and the Bell Tower also within easy walking distance. Right downstairs, you'll find excellent eateries and local specialty shops flanking both sides of the building. Service is outstanding; any complaints are promptly addressed. They even provide extra bottled water upon request, and the front desk is very accommodating with room upgrade requests. Areas for improvement: 1. The dryer needs maintenance; it takes far too long to dry clothes. 2. It would be great to have an additional two or three washing machines and dryers. 3. An extra hook in the shower would be very useful for hanging clean clothes, preventing them from getting splashed.

Choosing Dongshe Hotel for my Xi'an trip turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. I especially want to thank my personal host, Doris. From the moment I checked in, her impeccable service and genuine smile made me feel right at home. She thoughtfully prepared and packed afternoon tea for me, and even kindly provided 'goodnight sweet soup' every evening. This kind of gentle, attentive care is incredibly rare and precious when traveling. What touched me even more was how Doris immediately stepped in to help when I encountered a small issue with a package delivery during my trip, completely putting my mind at ease. While travel is usually about sightseeing, at Dongshe, I gained something more profound: genuine human connection and care. Doris isn't just a professional host; she's like an old friend – warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. Meeting her in Xi'an felt like a truly precious connection gifted by my journey. I'm incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience she provided, which made my trip to Xi'an incredibly happy and fulfilling. I will definitely choose Dongshe Hotel again on my next visit to Xi'an, simply because Doris is there, making me feel so comfortable and cared for.
