Hotels in Nanmen Square Area, Xi＇an

The room was decently clean and the hotel staff were nice. However, the room is clearly quite old and this negatively impacted our stay. When we arrived, the room was freezing because the windows were left open, and even when closed they did not seal fully, and some cold air still crept in. The veneer of the bathroom cabinets was peeling off completely, and the shower water was lukewarm at best. The breakfast included was ok. I understand that some parts of the hotel are currently under renovations, so perhaps the quality will improve once those are complete.

Excellent location for visiting the city walls, drum and bell towers and also the muslim quarter. Everything is within walking distance inkluding the metro station where you can take the metro to the terracotta warriors (metro + public bus) or to the high speed train station. Rooms are a bit outdated but still fine. The price is very good.

Our stay at Hesu Designer Hotel was absolutely lovely! The hotel is beautiful, with a great location near the center, making it convenient to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly nice and friendly, going out of their way to help us despite the language barrier, as we don’t speak Mandarin. A special shoutout to the front desk team and to Xiao Wang, who assisted us throughout our stay. The team made us feel so welcome, always offering us coffee and making sure we were comfortable. At the end of our stay, they even surprised us with a lovely gift (picture). The hotel also provided fantastic recommendations for attractions and restaurants, which made our trip so much easier and enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Xi’an!

The hotel environment is very good. The service provided by Xiaojie and Xiaomei at the front desk is very good. It is a very good stay experience. The location is very good. The subway is directly connected downstairs. There are Wangfujing Department Store, SKP, Heshenghui and Zhongmao Plaza around. You can walk to the city wall and one subway stop to the Bell Tower Muslim Street.

The location is particularly good. You can step into the pine orchard and admire the Yongning Gate and the Bell Tower and Drum Tower in the distance. It's wonderful.

While the service, on occasion, may not have been flawless, I commend the hotel’s proactive approach in swiftly addressing feedback, demonstrating a genuine commitment to continuous improvement and guest satisfaction. The presence of a well-stocked Mini Bar in the room further elevated my stay, providing a range of snacks and beverages that added convenience and comfort to my leisure moments. I must take this opportunity to commend the three dedicated butlers, Eric, Mandy, and Flora. Their professionalism and warm hospitality redefine the concept of “home away from home.” Always greeted with a smile, they patiently attended to my inquiries, even offering invaluable travel insights that enriched my exploration of the city. In summary, the Sofitel Legend Hotel in Xi’an has left an indelible mark on my memory, crafting an unforgettable experience. As a seasoned connoisseur of luxury accommodations, I confidently place this hotel among the finest I’ve encountered. Its charming French-inspired façade, harmonious garden landscape, and unforgettable culinary journey have etched a profound impression in my heart. This is a journey I will cherish for years to come.

I am very impressed with the exceptional service provided by Aira at the front desk. Due to a last-minute decision to arrive in Xi'an a day earlier, we had to make four bookings for two rooms for a total of five nights. Aira kindly made special arrangements to ensure that we would not have to change rooms during our stay, which was greatly appreciated. After spending one night in the double bed room, we realized that the bed was too small for my husband and me, as we are accustomed to a larger bed. Without any hesitation, Aira promptly assisted us in changing to a room with two single beds, as the double bed rooms were fully occupied at that time. We are truly grateful for her assistance and thoughtfulness in accommodating our needs.

Check-in is very convenient, cleaning is very timely, and the location is very central. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to Yongning Gate. The aunt who provided breakfast was very enthusiastic and it was very fun to chat with her.

The hotel itself is very nice, design is very unique and looks extravagant. The Restaurant and Bar has a terrace where you can see the city walls - looks exquisite at night with all the lights on. The room is just as shown in the photos. Bed is good quality and very spacious. The room is well equipped with all necessities. Breakfast was also excellent- chinese and some western cusine as well, everything delicious , fresh and plenty to choose from. Late night noodles were a real treat after a long day of walking. Reception is very kind and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay for Xiao Pan and Xiao Wang Zhong Chow.

The location is great, right next to the South Gate of the city wall, a few steps away from the metro station. The best shopping centers around, if you’re into that. Minutes away from the very heart of the city. The rooms are clean and cozy. Really no complaints there. Also the stuff is very helpful and understanding. No problem with the late checkout, whatsoever.
