PuYuan Laoyangfang Huayuan GuestHouse (Xi'an Library Metro Station)

We are an Australian family traveling in China. Our stay here felt like “home” away from home. From the moment we entered the front gate, the greenery of a garden, the sound of water features, the owner’s friendly dog wagging its tail as the owners greeted us and carried our luggage to our room. Everything felt calm, relaxed, welcoming… we knew immediately we had found the best place to stay for our family in Xi’an. Our room had 3 separate sleeping areas, a decent size bathroom with shower and a western style toilet, a lounge room with a comfortable couch, TV, coffee table with Chinese tea making facilities. A mini fridge came in very handy to store fruit and drinks. A dining table comfortably seats 4 people. There is enough space so you don’t feel like you’re tripping over one another. We had asked for a non-smoking room ( in China, if you are a non-smoker, this is an essential request) and this was met. The home is in an excellent location close to local shops and walking distance to the metro. The Hosts are a genuine, friendly family and offered the use of a clothes washing machine, which is super convenient for anyone travelling. This is an excellent stay to “recharge” yourselves. You’ll need it after dealing with the multitudes of people at the Terracotta Warriors.
