Fairfield by Marriott Xi'an North Station

Very good Location near Xian North railway station. Only 10 min. by Taxi or 1 Metro Station, Line 2, Beiyian. 10 Minutes walk from there to the Hotel. New Hotel, all modern and clean. Good heating and shower. Laundry Room with washing Machines for guests available. Good Breakfast, starting already 6:30a.m. Many thanks to receptionist Joyce, who helped US to arrange Taxi and have US very helpful hints for Sightseeing.

Hotel guests use a dedicated elevator that is separated from the staff going to and from the office. The entrance to the laundry room is accessible only when there is a room key. The washing machine is not unlocked until the washing is completed. The menu for breakfast was a little different for two days. It's hot, but the indoor temperature of the breakfast restaurant on the second floor is very cool. It's nice to have a yogurt dispenser. Tableware is heavy, but I'm glad it's not plastic. Coffee has a strong bitter taste, but it's rich in cappuccino's velvet milk foam. Sleeping gowns are for summer, light and very long. The blanket is thick and soft and light. The blanket cover does not feel rough at all, so there is no burden on sensitive skin. The pillow is chubby but very light. It has a view of the train station north of Xi'an, and the night view is great. There are no carpets in the room and the floor is wood. It's convenient to have a marble shelf where you can sit in the shower room. The drain of the shower booth is slow.

Overlay good hotel. Very convenient location. Foods average. Hotel has self service laundry service which is good.

I book a room and got upgraded to executive. Normally travel and stay here 2-3 weeks a month. The service is fantastic, Cici and Max at front desk are very friendly and caring. Mac helps me move my room and brought my order to me because I was really busy. Room is big and clean and the maid also very friendly. Very comfortable to stat here, like being home

Staff did not speak English and they were not interested in helping us communicate. They asked us to wait 20 minutes for someone to speak to us and that person did not arrive. Breakfast poor for the expectations we had some mi-level hotels we have visited this trip had better food. The coffee machine was not working during all the time we were there for breakfast and had no solution provided of any type. So, we had no cofffee.

Location are good and free shuttle to Xian Bao Train Station. Breakfast are simple but good enough.
