Family Friendly Hotels in Wuyishan

Had a lovely 3 night stay over Christmas break. Took a 3 hour high speed train from Shanghai. The hotel offers free pick up service from the train station with reservation made in advance. Everything was very smooth. When we arrived at the hotel, my kids enjoyed the buggy ride from the main lobby to our villa, where there was a nice tea, fruit, and pastries waiting for us. The hotel is very close to the National park. It’s about a 30 min walk to the south entrance where you can get tickets for the bus that takes you around the park to the hiking trails and bamboo raft trip. Remember to bring your passport. We forgot but our photos were accepted as ID. On our way out, we had some pictures taken on-site. We forgot to book in advance but the staff were very accommodating. We do not speak mandarin at all but we were able to get by with Google translate, WeChat, and some of the staff are English speaking. Overall, the Villas are very nice. The pictures look exactly as shown. A true 5 star. Would highly recommend.

The must-watch Impression Dahongpao is just a short walk away. This hotel is ideally located for visitors who come to Wuyishan to see the show. (In my humble opinion, it would be such a great waste if one visits Wuyishan without watching Impression Dahongpao.) The hotel management team got us the best seats available for the section we selected and at a better price than those offered online. 5. The bus stop where we took the bus to the entrance of the Wuyishan Scenic Area is within walking distance. If one prefers to hail a ride (Didi) there, it costs about 6 yuan. In the opposite direction from the hotel, the tea streets are about the same distance away. If one does not want to go to town to eat, there are also a variety of restaurants and food stalls in the vicinity of Impression Dahongpao. 6. We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and we think we did well in our planning. We wanted to experience the scenic tram ride from Nanping High Speed Rail Station to Wuyishan and by the time we arrived at the hotel, it was in the afternoon. We went up the rooftop to appreciate the view and prep ourselves for the visit to the huge park. Early the next morning, we went to the park after breakfast. We wanted to do the bamboo rafting and visit the 6 ancient Dahongpao trees/shrubs on the first day. Viewing the trees made it more meaningful when we watched Impression Dahongpao on the second evening. On the third day we climbed up to the peak of Wuyishan. Without the pressure of time, the climb was done more safely. The views along the path up and from the top were spectacular. In the late afternoon/evening, we visited the town and walked the tea streets. 7. We got a pleasant gift upon check-out on the fourth day.

Traveling to Wuyi Mountain, staying at Guanlan Shuyuan B&B is really the right decision for this trip! The location of the B&B is great, the surrounding scenery is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the air is fresh. I have traveled all over the world and Shiyanli B&B is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a higher floor upon arrival. The view from the window was the majestic Dawang Peak. All the furnishings were modern and high quality. Fruit and Da Hong Pao tea was provided in the room as well. The other side of the experience was the tea room. The owner's family runs a local tea shop and said their tea comes from within the Wuyishan protected region. The region is known for Wuyi Rock Tea. There were a few options to try and the tea was extremely good. We purchase several boxes to take home to share with friends and family. It is a little bit difficult to get by without some mandarin Chinese knowledge, like everywhere else in China, but I wouldn't let this deter you from staying here. The staff here were the most helpful and kind.

When I left the store, I gave a friend to Boss Xue. I fought a few kinds of tea. My friend drank it and said it was very good.
