Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman

During my trip to Wellington, I stayed at the Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman for 3 nights. This hotel, located in the heart of the city, was a satisfying place to stay, offering convenience and reasonable prices. 1. Location The biggest advantage of the hotel is its central location. • It was within a 5-minute walk to **Cuba Street**, so I could easily visit local restaurants and cafes. • The main tourist attractions in Wellington, **Te Papa Museum** and the waterfront, were also within walking distance, making the travel route very efficient. • It was only about a 15-minute drive from the airport, so it was convenient to get around. 2. Room • The room was clean and cozy. • The bed was especially comfortable, so it was perfect for relieving the fatigue accumulated from walking around all day. • The free Wi-Fi was stable, so I had no trouble searching for work and travel information. • However, the room size was rather small, so it might feel a little cramped for those with a lot of luggage. 3. Service • Check-in and check-out were very smooth and friendly. • The staff were very helpful as a first-time traveler to Wellington, giving me detailed information on everything from local restaurant recommendations to public transportation information. • The room was clean and well-stocked with daily amenities. 4. Facilities • Restaurant & Bar: I had breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor, which was a simple buffet made with fresh ingredients. The coffee was especially delicious! • Parking: There is a paid parking lot within the hotel, but it is not very spacious, so you need to make a reservation in advance. 5. Disappointing Points • The soundproofing was a bit disappointing. Sometimes the noise from the hallway reached the room, but it wasn't too bad. • The air conditioner was old and a bit noisy, but since the weather was cool, we didn't use it much, so it wasn't a big problem. Overall Review Mercure Wellington Abel Tasman is the perfect hotel for travelers looking for a reasonable price and convenient location. It was the perfect base camp for exploring Wellington, including sightseeing, shopping, and experiencing local food.
