HORRIBLE. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST. We had to cancel our 5 day trip after the first night and left back to Havana. The staff at the reception was rude and hostile from the very first moment. It took them 6 hours to prepare our room, which went beyond the check-in hours. We dropped our baggage and left for the beach and when we were back, our room floor was full of sewage coming from the toilet. Some of our stuff was on the floor and was full of sh*t. The reception staff refused to help clean our stuff, and said that they have no such service. Hotel's so-called public relations officer named "Salas" attended. He also refused to provide any solution, did not even try to make eye contact. We left like an inconvenience here. The food is the same in every meal. The hygiene in the food court is horrendous. There is no hygiene rule basically. Plates and food boxes are never washed. It is a miracle to not get sick or food poisoning. We were served with exactly the same coffee every day, no cleaning the pot, changing the beans etc. The rooms... The whole resort is about to collapse. There is no hot water if you are lucky to find any water! Toilet flushes are not working, bathtubs are rotten and full of dirt. The same goes for sheets and towels. We are aware of the situation in Cuba. We don't expect a full service or whatsoever. But the situation in this place is beyond anything we have witnessed in Cuba as there is something truly wrong about here. If you are really willing to see the beach in Varadero, please get a casa particular in the area, stay away from any resorts and eat outside restaurants run by locals. I will never ever be coming back.

The room is really not good, there is no hot water, but the view is really amazing. In comparison, I am willing to tolerate the shortcomings of the room. The buffet is OK, better than I expected.

Excellent quality ratio. Price. Very beautiful swimming pools which are clean annexed to the sea directly on a dream beach. Decent buffet with white wine and red wine from Chile. And of course unlimited drinks.

Ctrip was quite reliable this time. Other booking apps didn't work. The confirmation was quite fast and the price was quite good. One night with three meals included was only 400 RMB. I went to the hotel front desk and asked and they said it was 130 USD per night, and there was no discount.

The bedroom was OK. But the bathroom was not so good. The mirror had many stains, and the bathtub and taps were not in good condition. The shampoo and shower gel were not replenished and were almost gone. The attitude of the front desk staff when I checked in was the worst I have ever experienced. They were unfriendly and did not give me any information. This hotel includes all meals, and there is a pool, a bar, events, etc., each with its own opening hours. They did not give me any information about them. Around 5pm, the snack staff said that the snacks here would close soon, and that more varieties would be available at 9pm. I thought they were talking about dinner. I thought it was late, but since check-in is at 4pm, I thought that was normal. Therefore, I left the room before 10pm. There was an event by the pool, and they were in the middle of the final greeting. I tried to go for dinner, but it was already closed and I couldn't eat. I was very disappointed that I missed dinner and the event because I had stayed with dinner. Instead, there was a snack corner, and I was told that it would open after a while, but the opening times given by the staff were all different. They said "right now", "22:30", "23:00". Nobody knew the correct information. Meanwhile, there was no service, and one male and female staff member was openly flirting in full view of the customers. Snacks were eventually served at 23:00. They brought us food once, but then the staff member hid, and there was no way to call him, so we had to wait several minutes for a refill. The only thing that was good about this hotel was the bar staff near the front desk at night, who was friendly and worked efficiently. His presence was the only good thing about this hotel. Anyway, it was the worst that information was not communicated. Even if they didn't tell us verbally, why didn't they think of handing out paper to each customer?

Well, for Cuba it’s a normal hotel.

It was a different experience, I always travel with my family but this time I decided to go to rest and be alone with my partner, which was a bit difficult for me due to different episodes I had at the hotel. As for the service of the waitresses and shop assistants, it is very good, they really make an effort to talk to the clients and make them feel like family, the cleaning is quite good, but I must say that in terms of the food it leaves a lot to be desired, most of the Cold times, without dressings to season salads or vegetables, hot juices and without sugar, there was not a day when there was butter, mayonnaise, or any other sauce to accompany food or breakfast. There is no small oven to heat a toast or a piece of bread, the lousy presentation, if I am honest there was not a day that we ate well and that is mainly due to the little management by the managers, the rather superficial supervision and the justification with all the problems that there are right now in Cuba. Serving a hot dish or a cold juice goes beyond the scarcity that there may be. The towel service for the pool practically does not work, we were waiting all day to be able to get the towels and be able to bathe, when we complained the towels appeared immediately, Unfortunately they tend to justify what was wrong with all the economic problems that exist and that we all know. You pay for a 4-star hotel and receive 2-star service to a great extent.

Dirty used towels at the pool, bad food, early closing of pool bars, broken jacuzzis, cheap party beer, everything is just old and faded glory and made low budget. The staff would like to do well, but it is difficult for them since they have to comply with the policy. The food is really the highlight. Stayed 4 nights and standard sick after eating.
