Var Hotels with Pools

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights during our trip in Côte d’Azur. The location is just a few minutes walk from the old town and very convenient, and came with the benefits of on site parking and a pool. The general vibe was very relaxing, and the room was perfect with a charming view across a vineyard next door. The reception and pool staff were very helpful, especially when organising travel from Cannes. Would stay here gain when we revisit St Tropez.

Before booking I had read many positive reviews but I was still apprehensive that the Montfleuri Best Western hotel was going to be typical of the chain hotels found in the United States. I was delighted to find that the Premier Montfleuri was so much more than a Best Western Hotel. The property itself is gorgeous and resides in a quaint residential area of St Maxime. The hotel is a 10 min walk from dining/shops and 15-20 min walk from the Marina. The staff were polite and went out of their way for our requests. There is a beautiful pool and well maintained grounds. There is a large beautiful common terrace with views of the bay and St Tropez. We stayed in the suite with private terrace, the room was large and modern/updated and the terrace was exceptional. Morning breakfast was delicious and included. Overall I would highly recommend Premier Montfleuri.

Hotel on the port of Santa Lucia and right next to the Saint Raphaël convention center. Walk between 20 and 30 min. to access the city center but entirely doable. Free parking until May 31 all around the hotel. Lots of restaurants, Spar supermarket nearby. Very good superior room with sea and port view. Complete breakfast with good products. Hotel recommended for its calm too.

With a stay at Résidence Prestige Odalys Riviera in Hyères, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Giens Peninsula and 5 minutes by foot from Plage de la Bergerie. This residence is 16.4 mi (26.3 km) from Port of Toulon and 16.7 mi (26.8 km) from Toulon Beach.This smoke-free residence was built in 2024.Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee.Featured amenities include multilingual staff and laundry facilities. The setting is quite lovely: a hotel within an old medieval town castle. Could be charming, romantic and beautiful. And it is to a large extent. With not too many rooms spread out over the several buildings, a pool area and an onboard high quality restaurant everything could be set for a relaxing vacation visit. We had dinner in the excellent restaurant - see my separate review (search Le Château d'Argens Restaurant (EX Logis du Guetteur)). Some of the rooms were renovated recently to a modern standard. We, however, had a room in the ”not-yet-renovated” category. It was clearly outdated and worn down, but still with charm and there was nothing wrong with the function. Beds quite comfortable. And all amenities were there, as well as an effectively working AC. The size was also generous, almost like a mini suite with separate sofa area. The bathroom was a nostalgic trip to the 70-ies with avocado green basin, tub and toilet. And the then compulsory bidet... Didn't bother us, but I can imagine some younger guests may find it strange. Up to date it is not. The small pool area very nice with some possibilities to shaded spots. ”Cute” garden. Very calm and tranquil - we could really relax. Overall standard is spot on three stars, which also is the official classification. Breakfast was served on a individual basis; i.e. no breakfast buffet. You order your breakfast the day before and set a time. Good! Saves waste. Environmental friendly. And should also save/cut the cost for the guests, but no... The basic, very old school French continental breakfast (bread, jam, juice and a youghurt) is 15 EUR. If you want cheese, that's 5 EUR extra. If you want a slice of ham and salami, that's 5 EUR extra. If you want eggs (served after 9 o'clock), that's 7 EUR extra. Nowadays even French hotels have cheese, charceturies and eggs on their breakfast tables/buffets as a standard. So, if you want the same at Le Ch d'Argens you'll end up paying over 30 euros. Considering the rooms are a tad overpriced, this is not very nice or very good... Definitely a bit stingy. Staff kind and helpful. Be aware: check in is exactly at 3 pm - not a minute before. There's simply no one in the reception after lunch and prior to 3 pm. Parking easy and free on the rather spacious courtyard. Overall a nice experience (especially the restaurant), but improvements on the room standard could be welcome.

Hilton tells me, that I have checked in at Hiltons over One Thousand times and I have to say, only a handful of Hiltons are anywhere as nice as this hotel. If this hotel was in a better location (the location is super safe) you would pay twice or three times the price. It takes a good 15 mins off the main highway and you need a map or good GPS. This is a poor man super expensive top of the line Hilton, without the $$$$$. If you want to feel like the rich and famous, stay here. One added point, I have never seen a clearing staff work this hard, they must replace the rugs every year and repaint the hallways I guess.
