All seemed fine until night time. My daughter opened up the pull out sofa and the mattress was saturated with blood stains. Not just a drop or two - one-third of the mattress was covered. ( I have photos). I immediately went down to the front desk to request a replacement and I showed the photos. The gentleman was very nonchalant and seemed disinterested in helping me. He said that we could remove the mattress but that there were no other ones available. I said YES, I definitely want it removed. Just the thought that it's in there is grossing us all out.. But I told him that I NEEDED another (clean!) mattress because we needed the sleeping space. Well, he eventually admitted that there was another room, just like the one I had, so I asked him to please have the mattresses switched. Instead, he attempted to have me switch rooms. I declined that option because my (1) teen daughters were already in pajamas, and (2) we had arrived at the hotel earlier that day and had taken the time to unload ALL of our belongings (took forever) into the room, plus (3) I had already gone through the trouble of sanitizing the current room. (4) Lastly, when we had first arrived to check in and requested to check in early, the attendant was kind enough to tell me that she could get us into a room right away but to be warned that the room was on the ”highway side” of the hotel and that some people complain about the noise. So i told her I'd just wait until the regular checkin time and get a quieter room. This is my 4th reason for declining the room change, because I didn't want a noisier room. In any case, I asked him if he could simply have someone change out the mattresses for us. He said no because he was the only one there and that he'd have the ”shut down the hotel” in order for him to do it himself. So I said ”well can I do it? Because it's highly unfeasible for us to load up and switch rooms at this hour.” So, yes, I had to move the disgusting mattress out of my room myself, and there were no gloves for me to use. I then had to go to a room on a different floor to grab the clean mattress off that sofa bed, load it onto the elevator, and drag it back to my room. After all was done - i had to return the room key for the new room to the attendant, he tells me that ”someone in housekeeping actually DID come in for the evening shift.” And he finally changed his tune and was nice and apologized, but I was NOT happy having to handle a mattress with what looked like someone elses body fluids. Also, the shower was lined in what looked like mildewy dust - so it was not probably cleaned at all. The trash can liners were not properly installed. Crumbs were on the floor. This was a convenient location, but I would not stay here again. It looks nice at first glance, but if you want REAL clean and not the kind of ”clean” your kids will do to their rooms, I advise against staying here. Oh lastly - when the sofa bed is opened (on the King studio room with pull-out sofa),
Very Good
