AAI CHEN CHUAOne of the most modern hotel in turpan. Receptionist is very helpful. There are shops and eateries around the hotel. Room is spacious and conformable. Breakfast has good spread.

DDamleEasily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more.
But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit.
All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

OOtautahianAs at August 2022, there is daily mucelic acid testing in the park next to the hotel, from 08:20-11:00. Using the Xinjiang health code, I was able to get tested there (as a foreigner) and the results showed up on the app. So, I didn't need to go into a hospital. The hotel is also a short walk away from the museum and a main street with a lot of restaurants that seemed to be popular. Taxis regularly passed in front of the hotel (Didi took a while, in my experience).
My room was wide and bright, including the toilet and shower. In fact, the entire hotel feels wide - the lobby, breakfast room, the carpark.
The staff were all helpful, even with my poor Chinese and their limited English.
The breakfast selection was fair, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food.

AAnonymous UserWhen it comes to traveling in Turpan, which hotel should I stay in? I must recommend the Ibis Hotel at the entrance of Turpan North Station. There are shuttle buses to the city and attractions at the entrance, which is very convenient. The service of the staff is very professional and the attitude is very enthusiastic. In particular, their breakfast is very rich. Anyway, I think it is convenient and worth the money.

DDootripiansThis place has the soul of Uyghur people. The round bread you can have next to the hostel is incredibly delicious. The whole road is where the Uyghur people lives. The city center has very different vibes. We had a good time taking a tour of Turpan with the driver the hostel organized.
The weather got too cold in the desert area so we could not stay longer here. I hope to come back here in my life. Just one thing, some trains coming to Turpan is very early in the morning. It would be nice if the reception could open earlier in certain days.

GGuest UserThe hotel experience is very good, the front desk staff is very warm, the check-in is fast, because the baby is brought, the front desk staff is thoughtful to upgrade the room, the family lives on the same floor, the newly opened hotel facilities are very good, the bedding is very new and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are very good. The artificial lake was seen outside the hotel window. The scenery was great. You can go down to row a boat at night. Not far from the hotel is the Turpan Museum. There are delicious meals around. You can take a carriage at night. The hotel breakfast is also very rich. The freshly cooked noodles and wontons taste good. I will live here in Turpan in the future!

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

22morrowsworldThis 4 star hotel has a goid rating on Trip.com and I can understand why. However, I liken this hotel to a 20 year old luxury car such as an E36 7 series BMW or Lexus LS 430. Exceptional and glorious when new, but getting old and tired fast.
On a superficial level the rooms look grand and sumptuous, but on greater scrutiny there are issues. One if these are the carpets, which are either in dire need of steam cleaning on a forensic level of thoroughness, or outright replacement. Some sections are worn and faded, while many odd bits and pieces can be found (and felt with bare feet), that seem to have escaped the attention of the room staff, e.g toothpicks, other miscellaneous refuse deposited by previous guests.
I booked a continental double room, for $68 AUD per night and there was a misalignment of the door with its frame. Large enough to see through to the outside! The room contained a sofa Comfortable enough but with fabric badly worn away. The white veneer paint on tables has seen better days.
Having said all this, overall, the hotel offers rooms of a relatively high standard. Ornate furnishings, large, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, a huge bathroom with sufficient water pressure and responsive hot water on demand (bathroom has a smart lighting arrangement which switches on via a sensor).
There are a dozen individual controls for room lighting. Lots of cupboards and drawers and powerpoints where needed. There is a gym but for some undisclosed reason is currently closed, of February 2024. Is a buffet style restaurant with several guests dining in it which looked very well staffed. Reception will go out of their way to give assistance with arranging tours, ordering taxis etc, and try to ensure guests are satisfied. In summary, the hotel looks good and to some extent is good, but may not be worth paying $50 US a night to stay in and was a little disappointing.

GGuest UserThe hotel is cost-effective and affordable. The hotel has a large parking space, the air conditioner is new and cool, the room is large, the environment is good, and it is not noisy when sleeping at night. I stayed for one night and the hotel experience is still good.
