The hotel is quite new and boasts an extremely convenient location, right by the Yamanote Line. There's a large supermarket right by the station, which was perfect for all our daily grocery needs. The hotel even has its own Lawson convenience store, and there are plenty of izakayas nearby. Pao Pao's large meat buns were surprisingly delicious! The room was a decent size, the bed was quite comfortable, and the linens were fresh and dry. The shower had excellent water pressure. The rooftop onsen isn't huge, but it was never crowded whenever I went, and I had a great time soaking there. From the outdoor terrace at the 15th-floor reception, you can even watch planes fly by ✈️.

This was my second stay at a Prince Hotel. My first experience was at the Onarimon branch near Tokyo Tower, which left a great impression.
I arrived in Tokyo for a business trip past 8 PM. After dinner with a client at a small restaurant near Shinagawa, I checked in around 10 PM.
Room 52719 offered a night view, though I was too late to fully take it in. The next morning, I woke up to a clear view of Tokyo Tower.
The hotel complex consists of several buildings: the East Tower, Main Tower, North Tower, and the Annex. The Main Tower's breakfast area was very crowded. The Annex, however, was a bit less congested and offered a convenient direct passage to Shinagawa Station.
The room facilities were a bit dated. It had a bathtub, a refrigerator, and an ice bucket, but I was too late to make use of them.
The next morning, I had to be at my client's by 9:30 AM, so after a quick breakfast, I checked my luggage and rushed off. Upon returning to retrieve my bags, I made use of the lounge area to charge my phone and catch up on some emails before heading straight to the airport.
Location: Directly across from Shinagawa Station's West Exit.
Wi-Fi: Excellent speed.

The room was spacious and featured a balcony offering expansive, beautiful views, including Tokyo Tower. Although the hotel has been around for some time, it is exceptionally well-maintained with modern facilities and impeccable hygiene. The shower head was excellent, and the provided Pola toiletries were fragrant and highly effective. The amenities were incredibly comprehensive, ranging from basic items like toothbrushes, combs, and razors, to bath salts, facial cream, and hair ties – truly every conceivable amenity was provided. A special mention goes to the ingenious cotton swabs, which featured an ear pick on one end – perfectly firm yet gentle and very effective. Downstairs, in the basement, there's a 7-Eleven, and on the ground floor, you'll find a cafe and a Chinese restaurant. A shopping mall is also just a 3-minute walk away, making dining and shopping extremely convenient. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Shinagawa Station and an 8-minute walk from Takanawadai subway station, offering excellent transportation links. Both the front desk and reservations staff were very diligent and responsible. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is 45 years old, so it's understandable that the facilities are a bit dated, but it's still relatively clean. A particular issue was the bedding in our standard room. The duvet was simply laid on top of a single flat sheet. With any movement during the night, it would quickly get bundled up. It was quite similar to the setup on old 'green train' sleeper cars in China, where you'd just get a blanket and a sheet to lie on. After discussing this with the front desk, one staff member with short hair initially seemed reluctant to help. However, another colleague then went to the back to make an inquiry, and they eventually provided us with a proper duvet cover. I'm not sure if this is a distinction between the standard and premium rooms, but having a proper duvet cover makes a significant difference to sleep comfort compared to just a sheet. This should really be clarified during the booking process.
Another unavoidable issue was the noise. As the hotel is old, this might be an unchangeable characteristic that affects all floors. Flushing a toilet created a surprisingly loud noise, and late at night, conversations from people returning to their rooms were clearly audible.
However, the hotel's location is excellent. We didn't need to transfer trains when returning from Kamakura, and Shibuya is just two stops away. In Japan, public transportation is vital, as you tend to do a lot of walking, so being close to the subway is incredibly important!
Of the three beds, one was a sofa bed and quite firm, but the other regular beds were comfortable enough. There are supermarkets and restaurants right next door, and the hotel's own restaurant is also quite good. Plus, having a Lawson convenience store downstairs was incredibly handy.

Be prepared that the room is very small and you will initially not be used to it but I grew to love the room once I had everything in place. It’s very conveniently located, with a family mart right at entrance of hotel. 2 min walk from JR Gotanda and 2 min from the Toei Asakusa subway. Staff are generally polite and helpful, some more than others.

My recent trip to Tokyo was greatly enhanced by the Shinagawa Zenyama 4 Sen Smile Hotel, which left an excellent impression on me! Its location is superb; it's just a 1-minute walk from Sengakuji Station, serving both the Toei Asakusa Line and Keikyu Main Line. Haneda Airport is also incredibly accessible, reachable in as little as 18 minutes, making transportation incredibly convenient. Although the rooms aren't very spacious, they are cozily furnished, and the facilities are impeccably maintained. The attention to detail is evident throughout, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The staff are warm and attentive, ensuring quick and efficient check-in and check-out processes. Breakfast offers a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, perfect for starting an energetic day. The hotel truly offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely choose it again on my next trip to Tokyo!

The hotel is very nice and tidy, the twin room has more than enough space for 2 travellers. They even got cold towels at the reception for their visitors to cool down!

The hotel is convenient if you're flying out of Haneda, as it's relatively near Haneda airport. They have a nice sitting area / lounge with a view of the port area. Amenities are kept near the elevators going up to the rooms, and there's also some coffee / tea there. There is a train station near the hotel, and an Aeon in the same big block. There are also convenience stores nearby; there's one at the ground floor.

The hotel is excellent. The staff speaks English, they are responsive, polite, and ready to help with any issue. The room is fairly spacious, located just across the street from a subway station, and there’s a huge AEON MALL nearby. Breakfast offers a good variety of dishes. Not a single drawback. Highly recommended to everyone.

KKelvinWee-SGHotel is very well located next to Shinagawa Station and is easy for business travellers arriving at Haneda Airport. There are a lot of dinning options in the hotel and around the area. Access to the business lounge which provides a free flow of drinks, coffee and tea makes it a very good place for work.

MMiaxiaotangrenerI can only say this is a very cost-effective B&B. It's a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station, but a 20-minute walk uphill to JR Shinagawa. The room layout is just like the pictures, but it shows obvious signs of use; it's not brand new. There's a bathtub for soaking in. There's a balcony, but there's no view, and you can't hang clothes. There's no dishwasher, and I didn't see any slippers. Otherwise, it's pretty much like a typical B&B. Oh, and there's no way to check in early or store luggage because it's unmanned. So, when I confirmed this via email, I received a 10% discount code for luggage storage at Shinagawa Station.

GGuest UserIt was relatively close to Tamachi Station, and there were several convenience stores and grocery stores nearby, so it was a convenient location. The room was clean and I was able to relax.
There were the bare necessities, such as furniture, cutlery, an electric kettle, a microwave, and a TV. There was a bit of an issue with the lack of a bath mat, but other than that I was able to stay comfortably.
