Hotels in Ueno/Asakusa, Tokyo

I was very satisfied. The breakfast spread was excellent and diverse; I stayed for ten consecutive days and ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, and it never got repetitive. My absolute favorites were the Eggs Benedict and the Japanese breakfast. The hotel's front desk staff had no issues communicating in English and always offered a friendly greeting whenever we entered or left. The restaurant staff were also very warm and welcoming.

The hotel is clean, near the tourist spots and shopping areas. The subway, restaurants, and shopping mall are nearby in the walking distance, so it's very great for travelers. However, it's quite far from the Asakusa Subway where you can directly go through to NRT. It took around 15-20 minutes to walk there, but it's convenient because you don't have to transfer the subway.

My 2 nights' stay was really pleasant. The staff was really thoughtful and efficient at check in and checkout. I would love to return to this hotel when I'm staying in Ueno again. The location is excellent.

The room, though compact, is very well-equipped, and the lobby and room decor are quite appealing. The bedding is comfortable, and it's relatively quiet. The location is superb: Ueno Station is just a 3-minute walk, and Keisei Ueno Station (with direct trains to Narita) is within a 10-minute walk. However, given the room's small size, the large armchair and coffee table feel a bit excessive and take up valuable space; perhaps they could be removed. Occasionally, there's an unpleasant odor from the bathroom.

We came from Osaka to Tokyo and stayed here for three nights. The hotel has a simple, minimalist design and is quite clean, though definitely not luxurious – think more along the lines of an Atour Hotel in China. What's really great and thoughtful is that the toilet, shower, and sink are all separated, which is very user-friendly. Plus, there's ample space for luggage. We booked a room with three beds, and surprisingly, both kids were fighting over who got to sleep on the sofa bed! Our room offered views of the Tokyo Skytree, and it was very close to Sensoji Temple. The neighborhood was quiet, almost residential, yet incredibly convenient with plenty of dining options. There's a supermarket and a pharmacy right downstairs, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. Ichiran Ramen and Lawson are just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only a 3-minute walk. There's also a ramen shop at the corner that I actually found even better than Ichiran. The hotel's main building is just across the crosswalk, and there's an airport shuttle bus stop right outside, but the timing didn't work out for us, so we didn't take it. Overall, our stay here was excellent, and we've been quite nostalgic about it since returning home.

i love it so much here in this hotel. i would say it’s convenien for muslim tourists to stay here since it’s really close to halal restos and konbini. wagyu panga is literally 2 mins walking from the hotel. alao halal ramen spots are within a few minutes of walking. super clean, change our towels and pyjamas everyday. really kind staffs and room is quite spacious can fit in 2 big luggages. overall recommended!

I stayed in this hotel for just one night in Tokyo and found that this hotel's location is very good, which is just about 2 minutes walk from the subway to the hotel. Its room size is reasonable, though it's not big, but the 2 baggage were able to be opened at the same time. I will pick this hotel again if I travel to Tokyo next time.

The service was incredibly warm and friendly. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient, keeping the rooms spotless. The location was fantastic, making it very easy to get around. You can conveniently walk to places like Kaminarimon and Kiyomizu-dera, and there are plenty of convenience stores nearby. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it!

I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. It features a hot spring and is just a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. The location offers excellent access to Ueno and Akihabara, and Ikebukuro itself is very convenient. There are plenty of small shops in the vicinity, and it's also easy to get to Okachimachi, which is great for shopping and dining! I visited the art museums in Ueno Park and saw many masterpieces by artists like Monet, as well as Picasso's portraits. It was fantastic!

Stayed here for 2 nights for the 1st leg of my 11 days trip and another 3 nights on the last leg of the trip. The location is great, with easy access to the train stations, cafes, convenience stores and restaurants. The room and toilet were decent size, clean and comfortable by Tokyo standards. I like the free flow sake in the evening and the nice view to enjoy my sake. What really made our stay fabulous was the wonderful service by the check in staffs. Nin, in particular, never fails to brighten our day each time we see her, regardless if it's in the morning or at night. Her bright smile, excellent English and professionalism impressed us.
