The hotel is near Chiyoda City which is a nice park. Shimbashi station is a 5min walk away. Rooms are clean but a bit small (normal for Tokyo). Service is good. Breakfast is good. They don't have a concierge despite trip.com saying they do. Not sure if that is a mistake on their part or on trip.com. The place has a gym which is open 24/7. I didn't use it but it was good to have the option. There is also a smoking room and a bar. Overall, a 5/5 stay for a 3 star hotel.

Superb in all departments. Exceptionally clean and service from all staff members felt very special indeed. Tepanyaki chef prepared and unforgettable meal experience and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Beautiful view from the Room, with Mount Fuji visible on clear days.

We’re a family of 4, staying 9 nights at the Pullman Tamachi in 2 adjoining rooms. Our experience of the hotel and in particular staff was exceptional. We were generously granted early check in and a very late check out (possibly helped by my Diamond All.Accor status) which made our day of arrival and departure that more easy to manage. Thank you Jakapun (Director of rooms) The rooms were generous in size, very well appointed and laid out. The breakfast in the main restaurant was great with a nice variety of options. Staff were attentive and food was replenished as needed. The location was perfect for us, metres from the main train line linking the busiest stations, yet far way from the hustle to offer a much-needed sanctuary, highlighted by the roof top garden, terrace and executive lounge. Biggest praise goes to the staff of the executive lounge, led by Jordan and Masa and their great support staff. I have yet to see staff anywhere in the world offer the levels of service they all provided during our stay. From asking questions about what we like and had in mind, to offering options, making reservations and sending frequent emails with listed itinerary and instructions, they made our experience in Tokyo a memorable one for my family. Their attention to detail, enthusiasm and pleasure in hearing we had a great day based on their recommendations, made the difference. The hotel is very fortunate to have staff like you all. My family and I truly thank you for your exceptional service and memorable holiday experience. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Relatively new hotel with modern decor. Really liked the vibes/design of the hotel and room. We found the room pretty spacious for Tokyo, def enough space to open two luggage. Under 10 min walk from JR Ueno (plus no need to climb stairs) so that was good for us with the luggage. Hotel is on the less bustling side of Ueno, but still very convenient for us to access the busy Ameyoko side of Ueno. We didn’t dine there but we always saw lots of locals dining at the lobby bistro, so I would think it must be pretty good.

This is the first time I stayed in this hotel. The location is very good and close to the Shinjuku JR Station, just 10 minutes walk. I rented a car for this trip in Toyko from the Toyota Rent Car in which the car renting Shinjuku shop is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff of the hotel are very efficient and helpful. Check in and check out are quick and no need to wait. The room space of the hotel room is much bigger than the normal hotel rooms in Toyko. This hotel is value for money and I shall chooae this hotel in next visit to Tokyo.

Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

Hotel is absolutely stunning and the rooms are big by Tokyo standards. It’s about a 7 minute walk to the JR and the famous Shibuya Scramble, and about 4 minutes from the nearest exit / entrance to the subway. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the in house restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area as well. A little bit on the pricey side but worth it if you want a bit of luxury while in Japan.

It’s just wonderful to stay in ascott. It is just opposite to otemachi station (find exit C9). Best of all, it has a 24 hour gym, suitable for gym goers / and more importantly business travel. The room is bigger than most ordinary rooms in Tokyo, with art of state facilities. The staff here are attention, and helpful. Do consider if you have the extra budget 😊

As usual, we had a good stay here. The hotel is well positioned and well staffed. Check in and check out are quick and questions are answered promptly. All staff have a good understanding of English and are able to help. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the provisions in the room are great - apart from not offering a coffee! Fortunately, the 7-eleven downstairs is able to provide this easily.  Rooms are small and one of you, if staying as a couple, will be positioned against the wall which is the reason for not giving a 5 on the rooms.

We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.

GGuest UserMy husband and I recently stayed 4 nights at The Kitano and overall we really enjoyed our stay. A few pros, the room was clean and larger than expected. The hotel only had 4 floors so it gave a boutique feeling in the heart of the city. The staff was friendly, especially at breakfast (but felt like they could have helped a bit more when trying to find dinner, which was a bit difficult for us). Worth mentioning, the location was a little far from the sights and not on the JR loop so we had to take the regular subway which took a little extra planing and time. The general area didn’t have many good restaurants so plan ahead. Even though we enjoyed our stay but as tourists we would probably select a different location next time.

GGuest UserThis was our second trip to Japan within the past 5 years. Previously, we stayed at a budget hotel which was cramped and small compared to American hotels. For this reason, we decided to splurge and I'm so glad we did. Splurge on the deluxe room if you value space and comfort. It not only made a huge difference, but it made our stay even better. The deluxe room comes with a walk- in closet, huge bathroom, and the room itself was big enough for a King bed and sitting area with a couch and chair. The staff provided excellent customer service at all times. The hotel is not that close to a train station so be wary of that, especially if you have heavy luggage. Also, this hotel is huge and navigating it takes time before you know where to go and how to get to the area's local restaurants and train stations. The hotel grounds have a beautiful Japanese garden with waterfall which rivals some parks. The only criticism I have about our stay is dining. As do all hotels, this one charges a huge price to dine on-site. You have access to local restaurants that are within walking distance for half the price. If you want to save money do a little research online and dine off-site. There are plenty of options around the area.

GGuest UserWe stayed for 3 nights in November 2021. Thank you very much for your consideration of the upgrade of the room because you made a slightly irregular reservation. The location is very convenient because it is close to the station entrance to the train platform and is close to the station entrance. It is 7 minutes from Ichigaya Station, but I took about 10 minutes. Well, this is a personal difference. There is a climb from the station to the hotel and a downhill from the hotel to the station. The convenience store was important by the entrance of the kojimachi station. In addition, there are embassy around the hotel, and it is not related to the noise. The customer service of the front desk 々 was also polite. The room was very general size and arrangement, but it was convenient to have a mobile phone charger on the pillow. The temperature of the air conditioner was also individually set and comfortable. The water pressure of the shower was not bad. The refrigerator is small. The way to cool was now one. It may be insufficient if it is hot. The amenities were a way to pick up the necessary amount from the side of the lobby, but the bathing agent was gone late at night. Could you speak in the lobby? The room I stayed this time is a smoking room, and for smokers, it is a thankful thing that there is a smoking room now. The smell of cigarettes is very concerned by the person who cares, and the word of mouth of the hotel is also a representative of the negative element, but the layer which is seeking the smoking room still exists a certain number. I am glad that you have responded to such needs. The only regret was breakfast, and it became an individual meal due to the influence of the corona, and the employee 々 also understood that it was hard to respond to it, but the amount of side dishes was small and cold I was frankly sorry. The rice, miso soup, nori, bread and drinks were free to drink, but is it difficult to add some side foods here? Well, that means no individual meals... But overall, I think it is a very easy and good hotel, including the location. In addition to the good environment around the hotel, the customer layer is relatively calm, and therefore, there is no request or provision of excessive service, so there is a margin for the customer service of the employee 々 I thought that this situation was creating calm air. The low price seems to be due to the influence of corona, but anyway, it was very lucky to stay at this hotel at this price. I would like to use it again if I have a chance.

GGuest UserIt is not a short distance from Shinbashi Station, but it is a short distance. Even from Karasumoriguchi Hibiyaguchi Dochika to the hotel, there are restaurants and it is lively. If you walk straight on the main street, you won't get lost. The hotel is new and clean and the staff are kind. There was no amenities cleansing face lotion emulsion in front of the elevator. There is a toothbrush cotton swab in the room. Pajamas are one-piece type. It was good that there were many outlets in various places. There was also USB. The shower is functional and comfortable. The toilet washbasin is also beautiful. I stayed in triple, but the twin bed was big and good. There was one kind of bread for the morning service, the first day was a croissant and the first day was Mahin. It seems that I have to go early. It was a hotel I wanted to stay again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is centrally located and I think that’s basically the sole reason I may consider staying at it again. Checking in was smooth (thanks to the HK colleague seconded from Ritz Carlton HK), and other than that, I think your hotel staff needs re-training, especially the concierge team! Terrible service and clueless! My friends who were also traveling were not as lucky at check-in. One wasn’t able to get his room at 6pm and was asked to wait (20 mins), and when he finally got his key, he went into the room where someone was already in it. Who could expect this kind of mistake happened in a “modern luxury hotel”? My other friend nearly traumatized trying to check-in with a staff who can’t really speak English and don’t understand what “confirmation number” means. To me, the only disappointment was no upgrade at all even I was a Titanium member then. But well, I of course understand it is “subject to availability”. Hotel itself and its location is superb and definitely create a modern luxury feeling. But I’m staying in a HOTEL and HOSPITALITY and SERVICE should be the most important. And Edition Tokyo fails in all aspect, and maybe this is how you want to create a “lasting memory”? The short lady at the concierge was rude and impolite. When I was trying to ask about the timetable of the airport bus and where the stop is, she simply said why don’t you check it online cos you need to use your credit card and book anyway! I cannot believe this kind of service in Japan, let alone at a 5-star Marriot managed hotel. In the end I let my friend to handle it and she told me she talked to 3 different concierge colleagues and each gave a different answer, in the end it had to escalate up to the duty manager to get a concrete response on how to take the airport bus to Narita. Crazy! Then on separate occasions we went to the lobby bar. We requested to sit by the window and the waiter there said “it is reserved” on every occasion. In the end of course the sofa by the window was empty (and on one occasion it was empty till the bar was closed). I got annoyed and asked for the restaurant manager and I said “if you need a minimum spending just say so, why you have to put us at the bar table?” She said she would look into it and of course no one has yet to give us a good reason why is it the case. And service at the bar was appalling and to a certain extent I would even use “racist” to put it. As a Titanium with Marriot Bonvoy and a Globalist with World of Hyatt, I must say I made a terrible mistake staying at Tokyo Edition. I am sure I would receive better treatment and a better holiday experience if I stay at Andaz Tokyo which is across the street!
