The facility and room themselves were fine. 10-15 minute walk to train stations. BUT, you cannot control the temperature in your room and are subject to whatever temp the hotel thinks is appropriate. In our case, it was 25 degrees Celsius (78 degrees fahrenheit) in October... no air flow, no windows that open, and it was SWELTERING. They brought us a fan, but there was no where for the hot air to go. It was so bad we opted to eat the cost, left after the first night and got a different hotel for the remainder of our stay.

The room was quite spacious, and we found our 4-night stay very comfortable. The bed was also comfortable, not one of those overly soft types. The location was excellent, with FamilyMart and 7-Eleven stores conveniently located nearby. In fact, there's a 7-Eleven right on the ground floor of the hotel – it couldn't be more convenient! The hotel is very close to the subway station. You can easily walk to Shinjuku to catch a train, or take one from Tochomae Station. The hotel had quite a few international guests, and we were pleased to find a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk. The daily housekeeping was excellent, ensuring a very clean, pleasant, and comfortable stay.

I booked 2 separate bookings cause we traveled to hokkaido in the middle. Once I got back and checkin again the hotel already prepared the room and move my baggage to the new room already. Love the service and the location. This was my 6th time with the hotel. Still love it.

The location of the hotel was very good. Our twin room was spacious, and the bathroom was fine as well. It was quiet overall. At times, however, there were long waiting times for the elevators. Breakfast was okay, with a good variety of options. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean.
Like in many hotels nowadays, the entrance area was overly perfumed, which I personally found a bit much. The bar was very nice, and the view was beautiful.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms at Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Japan are quite spacious. It's incredibly convenient, only a 15-minute express train ride from Haneda Airport. That's why I always choose to stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel whenever I visit Tokyo. They offer both self-check-in and counter check-in, which is quick and efficient. The hotel is directly across from the JR station, making it easy to get to Shibuya, Omotesando, Ginza, and Shinjuku. The hotel's service is also excellent; they're always helpful and answer any questions. You can even store your luggage for free. I was able to leave my large suitcase at the hotel for free while I went on a two-day trip to Izu.

The room size was decent, and I was able to organize my things well. There was enough space right inside the door to lay a suitcase flat, and I could also store another suitcase under the TV stand without needing to open it. Although the room wasn't huge, it had everything I needed. When I was tired, I didn't have to sit on the bed; there were two long sofas and footstools that were comfortable enough for someone 175cm tall to stretch out and relax.
The TV news showed real-time updates from all over Japan, covering major and minor events that had happened within the last ten minutes. The weather forecast was particularly useful – if you plan to visit somewhere, it's really helpful to check the TV beforehand.
Room cleaning was offered daily, and even if I didn't want them to enter my room, they would still deliver fresh mineral water. I usually clean hotel rooms myself on the first day, wiping everything down with alcohol wipes. I brought my own disposable bedding and towels, and large trash bags – one for the room and one for the bathroom, which I placed next to the cleaning cart every morning. On the third evening, I found a note slipped under my door, saying that my room hadn't been cleaned for three days and asking if I'd like it cleaned tomorrow. 😊 I later told them it wasn't necessary, and they even refused a tip. The management is truly excellent.
I must mention the breakfast; it was fantastic with a wide variety of choices. While enjoying the buffet, you could opt for either Japanese or Western style. If you have a small appetite, you'll likely be full after just one style. 😊 The Japanese 'kyu-kogame' (nine-grid platter) included all the main types of Japanese dishes, allowing you to sample everything.
The hotel's location is superb. To the right, there are numerous Japanese, Korean, and Western restaurants, plus a building entirely dedicated to various restaurants, bars, and beer halls. They're very authentic and affordable, making it a great choice for young people. Around the hotel, there are all sorts of convenience stores and supermarkets, big and small, to satisfy your daily needs for food and drink, including Japanese bento boxes, fruits, and more. There's also a well-stocked Matsumoto Kiyoshi pharmacy.
Stepping out of the hotel, cross one intersection to the right, and you're at Ginza Mitsukoshi department store and the surrounding shopping district. To the left, you'll find Ginza Six and its shopping area. Whether you're looking for Uniqlo, Muji, GU, Zara, Canada Goose, Ecco, or anything else, it's all about a five-minute walk from the hotel. It's incredibly convenient – buy something, drop it off at the hotel, go out again, drop off more purchases at the hotel. 😊 So convenient! And coffee shops? There's a large Costa right across from the hotel, plus many other charming cafes.
The front desk staff were very helpful in arranging taxis, which was super convenient.
My airport transfer service booked through Ctrip was also excellent. The driver not only dropped us off at the hotel but also helped us with check-in! 👍👍👍 And when I booked the hotel, I requested a room away from the elevators and the main road, which Ctrip fully accommodated. Many thanks!
This was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely stay here again if I come for a shopping trip.
Eating, drinking, and shopping were all incredibly convenient, saving a lot of time on travel.

Shinjuku Granbell Hotel: A Peaceful Oasis in the Bustling City
Choosing Shinjuku Granbell Hotel for my Tokyo trip was a brilliant decision! It's located right in the heart of Kabukicho, just a 10-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, with countless dining and shopping options nearby. It truly offers a tranquil escape amidst the city's hustle and bustle – incredibly convenient.
The rooms have a modern minimalist design, are fully equipped, and spotlessly clean. While not overly spacious, for Tokyo, the value for money at this price point is excellent. The 12th-floor restaurant offers a Japanese and Western buffet breakfast with a view of Shinjuku's nightscape, and the 13th-floor rooftop bar is an even more spectacular spot for views. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful with all my questions. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shinjuku!

Best choice for me! I wish I had stayed here the whole time! Perfect location! Easy check-in and check-out process. There's even a luggage storage for when you arrive early before check-in or leave late after check-out. You can use your transpo card for it. The room is new and neat, keycard access! Bed is comfy, bathroom is well maintained. Free breakfast for guests. It's near the Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, and Nakamise Shopping Street. There's a Don Quijote nearby for some discounted items, tax-free option as well. Train stations are walking distance away. There are many restaurants in the area, and can never go wrong with Lawson and Family Mart for when you go hungry at odd hours. I loved it! Will definitely stay here again!
Huge thanks for the suite upgrade, it was massive, haha! Our booking package included breakfast, but the next morning at the restaurant, they said it wasn't included and made me go down to double-check. The service here feels a bit lacking. The restaurant isn't very big either, and the breakfast was just okay, though the curry rice was delicious. The area around the hotel is very quiet, and there's a Lawson on B2! It's about a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and the hotel offers shuttle service directly to two airports.

It's quite close to Ueno Station, so transportation is pretty convenient. The room size is decent; you can open two suitcases at once. The restaurant on the first floor is always full. I tried lunch there once, and it was okay, but the desserts were particularly good. The service was great; I accidentally booked an extra night, and the lady at the front desk said she could help negotiate a free cancellation. It's more cost-effective to book when Trip.com has promotions.

Amazing
Jjiqimao3025The subway station is right outside the hotel entrance (with stairs), but if you walk a little to the right, there's an accessible elevator down to the station, so you don't have to worry about large luggage. There's a small coffee shop and a convenience store right next door. We mostly had breakfast at the coffee shop; their cheese sandwich was quite good, though the portion was a bit on the small side. The hotel is located in an office district, so while there aren't many snack bars around, it's very clean and peaceful. The staff were very courteous. The rooms are quite spacious, and with two 1.4-meter beds in a twin room, it comfortably accommodates two adults and two children. Rooms are cleaned daily, and complimentary toiletries and mini-bar drinks are provided. Even for light sleepers, the bedding was excellent. The room was quiet and very comfortable.
JJujiadayeThe hotel's location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from the subway station. Right across the street is a lively food street, so you don't have to worry about dining options. The hotel's historic Japanese garden is truly beautiful; I was genuinely amazed when I explored it for the first time, especially considering such a large garden has been preserved right in the middle of a bustling city center! The guest rooms are quite spacious for Japan, around 40 square meters, but I couldn't help but notice that the decor felt surprisingly like an American hotel. My biggest complaint has to be that the bathroom surprisingly doesn't have a separate shower stall; you have to climb into the bathtub to shower.
GGuest UserOn June 10, 2024, my family checked into Hotel New Otani Tokyo the Main. Shortly after midnight on June 13, my daughter suffered a sudden and severe asthma attack that left her struggling to breathe. Because she had never experienced asthma before, we had no medication on hand. As visitors from the United States with no knowledge of Japan’s medical system, we felt utterly helpless.
I hurried to the lobby in search of assistance and was fortunate to meet the night‑shift manager, Mr. IINO. He welcomed me with genuine concern and immediately began phoning nearby hospitals. Because it was already past midnight, many facilities were no longer accepting patients, yet Mr. IINO persisted—calling repeatedly for nearly an hour—until he located a hospital willing to receive us.
His care did not stop there. He arranged a taxi, printed the hospital’s address, and personally briefed the driver to ensure we arrived without delay. He even provided tissues, a vomit bag, and masks for our daughter—thoughtful details that spoke volumes about his professionalism and kindness.
In our most anxious moment, Mr. IINO’s warmth and dedication brought us immeasurable comfort. Words cannot fully convey how grateful we are for his assistance; his actions will remain with us always.
Though falling ill abroad is unfortunate, meeting someone like Mr. IINO—and the colleagues who support him—was a true blessing. We are equally thankful to Hotel New Otani Tokyo the Main for employing such exceptional staff, and we very much hope to have the opportunity to stay with you again in the future.
With heartfelt appreciation,
JJimmy6663Location was fantastic being right by Tokyo tower and offering some amazing views. The room was amazing and comfortable. We also had the breakfast which was nice and included a small buffet. Customer service could be a touch better with room service forgetting to bring us some things we needed but all in all this is a fantastic hotel!
GGuest UserThe location was convenient. Less than 5 minutes to Hanzomon station. If you are travelling with suitcases, head to exit 6 at the station (google told me to take exit 2. I ended up climbing 2,3 stairs.)
If you are looking to budget friendly food options, there was Matsuya (chain food) few minutes walking distance from the hotel. It is open from 5 am to late midnight. Regular lunch/dinner set starts at 580JPY (beef, rice, miso soup, salad. Attached the photo).
If its raining, you can get umbrella from the front desk for free.
NNellie LeowI had the pleasure of staying at the B Shimbashi Toranomon Hotel in Tokyo, and it exceeded my expectations. This stylish hotel is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, yet still within walking distance to the bustling Shimbashi and Toranomon areas.
The room was compact, but cleverly designed to maximize space. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. I particularly appreciated the high-tech toilet and the rainfall showerhead.
The hotel's proximity to public transportation made exploring Tokyo a breeze. Additionally, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.
Overall, I highly recommend the B Shimbashi Toranomon Hotel for its modern amenities, excellent service, and prime location.
GGuest UserFor its price point in Tokyo, this place offers absolutely incredible value. It's spotlessly clean and very tidy. Though compact, it's perfectly equipped with everything you could need. They also provide a fantastic self-service bar offering various complimentary items like facial masks, makeup remover, toner, and lotion, all of which are surprisingly good quality. The surrounding area feels very safe as well.
GGalasteinHotel staff at reception was not fluent in English. He was focused on informing what he is supposed to tell you and cant understand/help in other matters. Have to resort to google translate.
Room size and amenities are satisfactory. The breakfast is pathetic. More worthwhile and more choices to buy from convenience stalls downstairs. You have to pick up breakfast from lobby and heat up in your own room to consume. The coffee machine was down altho they offerred diy drip coffee.
ZZoewong423The location of the hotel is very convenient, only three minutes' walk from JR Meguro Station. There are many restaurants downstairs, the staff are very friendly, there is freshly fried steak for breakfast, and the auntie in the breakfast restaurant is very enthusiastic. The only thing is that the hotel may have a bit of history, so the hardware is a little disappointing.
