Hotel Tokyo Garden Palace Reviews

Hotel uses a room key with a wooden stick as a keychain as opposed to a card like most hotels use. TV was in an awkward position, and the bed is in front of the mirror, which is strange, but otherwise a good hotel for solo travelers looking for a place around Ochanomizu/Akihabara for cheaps.

Good for business travelers

As soon as you open the door, you're greeted by the bed. It's cramped!! but it wasn't a problem since I was only staying overnight for work. There was no space to spread out my suitcase, so I opened the closet door to make room for it. The bathtub in the bathroom looked old, but the walls, floor and toilet were all new and clean. It was very convenient as it was close to the station. The front desk staff were all friendly and smiling, so I'd like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

This is my second time here. The twin room is very spacious and comfortable! The location is as good as ever. I want to stay here again when I come to Dongdan in the summer, but unfortunately there are no rooms left.

The room was very clean, the toiletries were all Pola, the hallway lights were voice-activated, I felt the Japanese style of tatami, and I accidentally saw a rainbow

I went at the end of December and made a reservation when prices were generally high, but I was able to make a reservation for around 100,000 won, which was a relatively cheap price. The room size was the largest single room I've ever had in a Japanese hotel. It's the size of a 3-star hotel, and the service was friendly. I think I'd like to go there again next time.

The location is quite convenient, the service is very good, the facilities are a little old but well maintained, the air conditioner can only adjust the size but not the temperature. The price in Tokyo on Saturday is too high 😂

It was close to the station and there were many convenience stores nearby, so the location was good. The front desk was open 24 hours a day, so no matter what time I left or returned, I was treated courteously and had a pleasant stay. When staying multiple nights, it was nice that they adjusted the cleaning schedule and whether or not to do it, and even if I didn't choose cleaning, they brought amenities to each room, which was helpful.

This is the second time I stayed in this hotel. The room is small as usual. Maybe it is often full because it is close to the university. It is very close to the nearest Ochanomizu Station, 8 minutes walk. There is also a temple of Edo General Guard next to it, which is quite unique. If you want, you can walk to Akihabara, about 15 minutes. There are many small restaurants near the hotel. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is also good, but don't expect to eat enough Japanese food.

All the staff were very nice. Their hospitality was thorough and impressive. The cleaning staff were also kind. The room was cleaned nicely, but the bath plug seemed old and it had melted, leaving black stains in the bathtub which was unpleasant. Also, when we turned on the air conditioning, a lot of clumps of dust fell down, and there was a table right underneath, so I was horrified to think about what would have happened if I had had food or drinks there.

The room was quite spacious and comfortable apart from the bed compared to a business hotel. The building isn't new, but the corridors were wide and spacious so we were able to relax comfortably. There was a convenience store nearby and Tokyo Dome was within walking distance.

The Japanese service is very good, but there are not many things to eat near the location. The hygiene is OK, but it is a bit old. The room size is OK, but why the facilities are rated so low by me? Because the outdoor temperature is 20 degrees, but there is no air conditioning in the room, only wind. The waiter has opened the window for me, but the temperature is still very hot and it is not comfortable to sleep.
