It’s a modernized historic building integrated with burnished aged-fashion-design admixture here and there. The lobby floor extends its wing to a spacious restaurant with semi-transparent chalky glass ceiling through which natural light casted from the above and a cozy Japanese eatery. A few steps out of its facade is a thoroughfare alongside beautiful river; wherefrom you see high Shangri-La signage across the river. Service is fine, nothing to complain about, neither things so impressive.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. A good location close to a shopping center. Opposite the hotel is a small area (Xibeijao), where you can buy traditional food from Tianjin. The breakfast is ok but it’s more the Chinese style. For western guests they provide coffee, some toast, jam and the typical Chinese sausage. Don’t expect too much from it.

Nice hotel. The location was good, with nice buildings around. Plenty of facilities like the swim pool, spa, the gym, etc. The rooms were clean and comfy. Would visit there again. I really enjoyed the pool it was the perfect temperature and you could watch a tv show while you are on the treadmill in the gym. Plus, the room has a good view of the city, which is very cool.Really wanted to go again. 以上是两个孩子写的😊

We had a great stay, the room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom.. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool. The food wasn’t great though and expensive for small portions.

Overall we had a lovely stay here. The location is great, and the rooms and reception area were beautifully decorated. The pool and gym were amazing (best hotel gym I've ever seen!), and never very busy. Staff were friendly and polite. And there was never a queue for the lifts. There were a few ******* which I'll list below for other people who appreciate these types of details, but they were by no means deal breakers. ******* included: - we always had a long wait at reception to be served - the deposit is large (almost the price of the stay again) - no plugs on one side of the bed so you can't charge your phone next to you - the minibar wasn't very cold - no takeout delivery to rooms (usually this is done by robot) - beds are very soft which might give some people backache - our toilet cistern kept running (we fixed it ourselves every time) - the shower leaked - the blinds over the windows are all or nothing, there are no curtains that you can just pull over part of the window - the swimming pool is very shallow at just 1.2 metres with no deep end - this made swimming difficult for both of us as we're on the taller side - you must sign a declaration before every swim/workout (I think once per customer would be enough!) and wear a swimming cap in the pool (the hotel sells them).

I have seen some folk rankings of Ritz hotels in China in a book. The Tianjin Ritz is basically among the top, which also increased my expectations for this trip. When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, the room was not completely cleaned up. The lady from the lobby concierge took me to the lounge on the ninth floor to rest first. The concierge lady of the Tianjin Ritz is not only beautiful, but also warm and generous in service. She is a beautiful flowing landscape. The service of the lounge staff is very good and thoughtful, which makes people completely relaxed; the afternoon tea is genuine and I was wondering if it would be some simple meals at first; each snack tastes very good, and the two freshly baked scones are especially sweet and delicious, and they are beautiful with cream and jam. The room is not as big as I imagined, but it feels very comfortable in it; the chessboard-style floor is very unique and eye-catching, and the name and corresponding blessings on the TV startup screen make people feel more pleasant. The breakfast was good, the hot spring water scrambled eggs were delicious; a seemingly inconspicuous ham croissant tasted unexpectedly fragrant, which is not available in every place; but the restaurant staff took away the used plates without saying hello, which was a bit awkward. The overall strong European classical style of the Tianjin Ritz is unique among the major hotels in Tianjin. When you are in it, you can't help but feel like a gentleman from time to time; the magnificent lobby and the famous two staircases have become the hotel's symbols. During the stay, there was basically no shortage of young ladies coming here to check in and take pictures.

Due to a sudden trip to Beijing, I had the pleasure of enjoying a weekend staycation at the Four Seasons Tianjin once again. This time, I opted for a new package on Ctrip, which proved to be delightful. The room was immaculate, the facilities were well-organized, and the food was delicious. Moreover, the warm and gracious hospitality was consistent throughout my stay. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Selina from the Front Desk and Sunny & Coco from the Executive Club. Their professionalism ensured that my stay was comfortable and pleasant.
