4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The stay at Kimpton Margot hotel was amazing! It was a great location-in the middle of two train stations, walking distance from the shopping malls, and it is near a grocery. The service was also excellent. They were helpful and very friendly. Would love to stay there when we go back to Sydney.

Staying in Fullerton Hotel is a wonderful experience. Hesitating between the Fullerton Hotel and the Four Season, finally here we are. Half an hour was spent on the way to the hotel from Sydney International Airport by train, which is in the vicinity of St James Station. Greeted by professional concierge and receptionist, the check in was less than 5 mins. 1 dollar was deducted from card as deposit. The room of 40 square meters was really big for two person. Mini bar was filled with different kind of drinks. Bed & sofa was soft and cozy. Room service was available via a black i-pad on the table, paid by either cash or card when checking out. Sydney Opera House & Hyde Park was nearby, together with other luxury stores. The room price was friendly during off-season,which will definitely double when the new year come. Haven’t tried the Four Season yet and can not give any comments, but Fullerton experience was truly nice and worthy.

The location is very convenient. One can walk to nearby attractions and the Museum station for transit to and from the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed me to check in early and check out one hour late. However, the WIFI is a bit slow and I didn’t get the connection for my computer unless I put it next to the microwave oven near the door, making it a bit inconvenient for me to do my work or conduct online meetings. The breakfast choices were the same during the whole time of my stay. I’m glad that I only stayed for 3 nights.

Stayed for first 4 nights whilst visiting Australia. Chose the hotel as it is in a decent location, ( 5 min walk to Circ Quay, plus easy for Rocks, Darling, central area for Hyde Park etc), reasonable cost and the fact they allowed early arrivals into your booked room - availability allowing. We arrived at 7am after a 26 hour flight - and our room (7th floor) was available - allowing us to grab a few hours kip. We didn’t realise that it overlooked Australia Square, which is lively & loud Mon - Fri.. Not a problem on the first night as we’re so tired. The following day we asked if we could be moved, not a problem, we were moved to a quieter room (14th floor) & upgraded at no additional cost. The room was lovely - as were the breakfast’s each morning. I cannot fault the quality of the hotel, cleanliness, friendliness and willingness to help by all the staff. Would I return? Most definitely. 😁

Location is King, it’s within walking distance to the Rocks, Circular Quay, Pitt Street Mall, QVB. Walking distance to bus stops, light rail stop and subway., so you can literally spidering out anywhere in Sydney. The room I already check in was a standard room which I reserved, it’s a very nice room, however, the TV was not working and took the engineer over 20 minutes still not able to fix it. Per my request in changing to another room (which I expected to be another standard room), gratefully they offered me a better room on the top floor with a side view of Sydney bridge on the balcony Most hotels will encourage its guests to leave towels on the rack for environmental reason. Yet they always changed it anyway. And the Radisson Blu Plaza is the one hotel whose house keeping do really leave your towel on the rack. Well done. Knowledge on tourist attraction varies from one concierge from another. Really see if you are lucky that day. But overall I highly recommend this hotel in terms of service , location, comfort and hospitality I planned to have a dip in the hotel pool before heading to airport. Yet it’s not possible with a number of kids playing balls and making big splash dive into the pool, making other people using the pool not possible. Security guards were there twice to stop that, yet the moment they left, activities resumed. Hope the parents can be more considerate as it’s not a big pool

I had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). I really want to love this hotel but as a 5 star hotel, there are a number of basic details that even 4 star hotels get done effortlessly. For one, the check in was surprisingly manual. Having to write out a check in form with my details. I expected they would already have those details from my booking, even though I booked through a third party. Most hotels only ask for a credit card and that's it. But that was almost insignificant compared to the room tech experience. It wasn't made clear to me how to access the wifi compared to other hotels which made for a stressful half an hour trying to figure it out. Calling reception from my room took quite a while for them to pickup too. Worst of all, almost everything is exclusively controlled from a tablet. Turning the tv on and off, even adjusting the volume and changing channels all need to be done from a tablet (not great when it's pitch black). As well as controlling the lights and blinds. I work in tech and this is a classic case of over-engineering. At least give guest a second option for physical controls or tv remotes because that's easier than forcing them to become an expert of your custom room controls when they should be relaxing. Lastly they have a lovely restaurant - Dixson and Sons. But the opening hours are too limited. It isn't open every day or for lunch and seems to close a bit too early at 9pm instead of around at least 10 or 10.30pm. The same limitations apply to the room service. The last 2 issues seem to be a result of them perhaps trying to be more cost effective in order to be high end, but I feel it's ruining the experience. If they could resolve them I'd gladly come here more often, which I really want to. But I felt robbed of a relaxed and delightful experience by the complicated tech and limited restaurant hours.

Fantastic little hotel, the room was simple and perfect (the bed was amazing), love the small touches (chocolates, coffee and tea) and the technology. The staff were wonderful, the location is central to everything. Couldn't fault it in any way. Loved our stay.

This was a really nice stay at an unexpectedly quirky hotel that was very pleasant! The rooms are very interesting in their design and decor, and they’re spacious with a comfortable bed and hypoallergenic bedding. The reception team were very friendly. It is well located within easy walking distance of the harbour and relatively quiet. Great for a night before a cruise!

GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel when it was under another banner and thought it was ok then. We decided to book the Comfy King this time, as the room we stayed in last time was very small. We found the comfy king a lot better and we had plenty of room. Seriously, the room is just to change and sleep in not to party. Under the Covid rules, It is not serviced daily, but if you need anything, you just ask at reception and they will help you out. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean. And this hotel is 100m from Central Station, so transport was never a problem. We would definately stay here again.

YYAThe lady at the front desk was very nice, ah, ah, awesome, and the plot staff was very cute when I stayed a few days later, and put the three dolls of our three girls on the bed. When I went back, it was super warm and tidy. , I just walked to the shopping place, and I was super close to darling harbour. GGuest UserThe hotel is located in an excellent location in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The rooms are spacious and clean however a bit dated. Although the room was pre-paid my card was charged for a second time. I pointed this out to the front desk staff and it was quickly resolved although I wonder how often that happens. The entire hotel is in need of a refurb so not sure the rooms are worth the price however it served my purposes and was not a bad experience.

GGuest UserCompared with Xiamen Airlines transit hotel 1983Hotel, the price of this triple room is not very friendly! The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Chinatown, Sydney Opera House, and you can also take the bus to Coochie Beach, and the subway is very convenient! The hotel has some Chinese signs, the passage seems a bit narrow, and it is shared with residential buildings and is a high-rise building! The hotel is ok, and the room service is average! The king bed is two single beds put together, and the left and right are uneven!

GGuest UserWas at Maze hostel from the 13th August for about 1 month and absolutely loved my time there and was so sad to leave. Became great friends with Joni within the first few days of being there and she made me feel so comfortable to approach her with anything I needed. Thanks to all 3 event managers Joni, Matteo and Lautaro for making it so much fun every single day. I recommend this hostel to anyone while this event team is here!

GGuest UserThe size of the room was stated when we booked, so no surprises there. Most importantly the room was clean. All staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is sometimes what 'makes a place' & this was the case for us. I'm sorry I didn't ask your name, but the barista rostered on the morning of Saturday 25th March 2023, you're amazing, not only do you make magnificent hot chocolate & my partner said your coffee was also fantastic, but your 'people skills' are exceptional!! Ibis Barangaroo is lucky to have you :-) We were also surprised to find the 'Archibald' exhibition on the hotel premises, we really enjoyed this & over two mornings saw many customers smile at this experience also. This gallery certainly complimented our stay, well done to all involved.

GGuest UserOK, so this review is through the lens of a Diamond Accor member. This means that, yes, I have stayed at Accor hotels a lot and so have become used to certain things as being standard across the network. But going to this ibis, and it's like it almost doesn't belong in the network. Starting with the good - the location. Easily walkable from Museum station if coming straight from airport, and not far at all to buses, light rail etc. Shopping options are good for essentials (over the road in World Square mall, downstairs is a Coles) and plenty of places to eat out (Chinatown). I probably should have sussed something might be wrong at check-in. One person serving one other guest. Three others in the back room just talking. After a couple of minutes, one comes out to serve. Must have had her attention for about 30 seconds before she walks away, and someone else comes out. It didn't end there. Three people to check us in. No acknowledgment of Diamond status. No mention of the promised room upgrade as a member benefit (I know they can't guarantee it, but customer service would dictate to at least acknowledge they checked). The fact that I had checked on the Accor app before arriving and seeing that there were rooms in the higher brackets available during our stay, it was a surprise to not be offered one, or to not even have it mentioned. We did get the welcome drink voucher, but upon getting to our room, there was no welcome gift. This is usual in all Accor chains - even the ibis and ibis Styles! I just think the mgmt here is looking to cut corners wherever they can. Getting these little acknowledgmentsof loyalty make the difference and in this case, would make the other things like a tiny bathroom and no working AC a little more tolerable. An apparent 'upgrade' to their fire systems means you are now advised to shower, hair dry, and even deodorant spray all inside the tiny bathroom, with the door closed. Or risk a $1600 callout fee which will be charged to your account. Erm, maybe get better fire systems that aren't activated by deodorant? The TV had a dangling sensor underneath it which when all the lights were out, made for a torch-like presence so the TV plugs had to be switched off each night. There are blackout blinds which work well, and there is a nightclub/pub next door for which you can hear the sounds but nothing too disturbing. Especially when you can hear the next room's convo word-for-word and nighttime coughing! Breakfast on L2 does the job - buffet style, cereals, pre-cut fruits etc. Just don't ask for anything that isn't in front of you...it doesn't exist. I asked for a coffee...was pointed to the coffee push-button machine. Not quite the fresh experience I had wanted. Asked for fried eggs - not possible and got pointed to the scrambled eggs (which I had seen and did not want). Asked for oat milk...pointed to the machine with cow's milk. Hello, griping stomach pains. The machine only made coffee or tea. No warm milk on its own

AAOLIThe location is in the middle of the CBD and it is convenient to go to the sights. The room is a bit old and the WIFI signal is weak. The elevator has to manually open and close the door. The elevator has to open the door once and the floor of the first floor is not aligned. It is necessary to bend over and step on the way, which is terrible! Be careful of safety incidents.
