Semarang Hotels with Pools

The service is excellent, everyone from security, doormen, checkin staff, room service, breakfast team to chamber maid. We didn’t book with breakfast but we ended up eating there for three mornings!! Quite a lovely spread to enjoy. Great coffee as well! And the coffee shop offers fresh juices outside of the breakfast hours. We ordered room service too and the food was delicious. The only drawback I can write is that the plumbing really needs improvement. The odour is bad. The last day was the worst the smell went into the bedroom as well.

I booked a room with a view of Semarang city from my room, but unfortunately, it was obstructed by hotel decorations. So the view was only visible through small gaps. Maybe it's because of the promotional price? Everything else was okay though.

While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

We're repeat guests here. Usually, we book the Deluxe room, but this time we opted for the Superior, thinking it was just a matter of room size. Our first impression upon entering was very unpleasant. We got a room in the furthest corner next to a storage room, even though the hotel wasn't full. The bed and pillows weren't clean and felt damp (dirty). We were very disappointed. We had no choice but to upgrade back to a Deluxe room and move rooms that very night, even though it was already very late (1 AM) and we were exhausted. We've already reported our complaint directly to management, but I apologize, I need to write it here again so they take it more seriously. I understand that certain hotels often have one or two rooms with a 'bad vibe,' and I know the hotel staff is aware of it. Please don't assign these rooms to guests unless absolutely necessary, especially when older people are staying. It leaves a very bad impression. It's a shame, as we always stay here whenever we visit Semarang.

This is one of the cheapest 5-star hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel might be a bit old, but everything works perfectly. The service and hospitality are very satisfying. The location is right in front of Semarang's main activity center. At night, you can take a stroll in front of the hotel. Ciputra Mall is right next door, and there are dozens of restaurants around the hotel.

Im quite suprise with this hotel. Value for money indeed. The hotel was clean and it is near paragon mall and other landmarks. Walkable to anything. Beside the hotel, there's a convenient store for late night snacks. One thing I noticed, AC is a bit warm, maybe its not working well. Reported it in the reception but after they checked it, it improved a little. They did not offered us to transfer to other room. Room is a bit small, max of 2 only. There was a strong smell in the reception area that triggers my rhinitis, I hope they change the hotel perfume. All in all, I would say, I will come back in this hotel.

Fantastic location, as it is behind Lawang Sewu & directly next to a mall, which makes finding food very easy. The Hotel is modern & clean. The staff were also friendly & provided good service. Highly recommended

The breakfast is horrible, bland porridge, only lettuce for the salad, there's pasta but its macaroni covered in small red sauce with no taste, tables doesnt get cleaned properly, 2 people on the egg corner only serving egg with salt, no toppings, no veggies, just pure egg + salt, main course got no variation, noodle rice 1 type of veg, a fish, and chicken. To access the restaurant you need to go through the pool, cool way of thinking, not practical when theres a lot of children playing with the water, parents and nannys sitting on the side.

We booked two rooms. When one of the rooms, the AC was not cold, called the receptionist, and was responded to well. An hour later, the room was cold again. Breakfast is quite varied.

The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic! One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha! However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
