The hotel was perfect for us as we were travelling around Northern Spain in our campervan and parking in Ourense isn't easy to find in the city and several hotels the parking was not on site and reviews said parking was tight for a car so we would have struggled with our van. The Exe parking was great with plenty of space, there was a lovely outdoor pool area (although we didn't use it as only there for 24 hours). It was easy to get into town from a bus stop a 3 minute walk away opposite the Meson bar/cafe at the junction on the road to the hotel and was 85c each adult each way. The hotel itself is a little dated and basic, not the 5* it says it is but was clean and the beds were comfy and the room had a tv and fridge plus a hairdryer and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The staff were welcoming on arrival. Do not be put off by the location as the bus was easy and cheap and the hotel is not fancy in any way but if you are there to sightsee in Ourense and the room is for showering and sleeping in don't hesitate to book.

LLuis dOurense is a small city packed with beautiful corners and interesting sites. The team at Carris made sure we got in all the local secrets. The rooms are incredibly well appointed and maintained. We originally had a suite which was fantastic but had to move to a regular room. It was an incredible surprise to see such well taken care of spaces. I did miss the balcony in the original room but have to say that the new room was still great in size. Bathroom and shower were also spectacular. Ana at the reception took great care of us as did the rest of the team. Very warm and personalized service. For sure a much better option than the chain hotels around downtown.
