This is my first hotel to travel to Suzhou, and I am satisfied with the location, facilities and services. . Especially the front desk staff are very friendly.
The rooms have high ceilings and large windows, so it is comfortable to stay. Room supplies are also well equipped. The breakfast buffet is small, but most of them are well-equipped, so there is no inconvenience in using it. The park is built around the hotel, so it is good to take a light walk. I plan to come to this hotel on my next business trip.

TTuscany RoseI am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me.
The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs.
Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful.
Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy.
As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels.
In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the core area of Pingjiang Road. It is right in the downtown area. It takes about ten minutes to walk to Suzhou Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden.
The hotel is renovated from an old house, retaining the style of Suzhou gardens. The environment is quiet and it is separated from the downtown by a wall.
There is a row of areas for making tea around the stove along the river in the hotel. It is very pleasant to blow the breeze in the warm spring afternoon.
This time, the child's birthday, the hotel provided a parent-child room, and also sent a very cute cake, and equipped with birthday props, which is really considerate.
The room is spacious, equipped with a bathtub and smart toilet, and the cloakroom and dressing table are large enough. Fruits, drinks, snacks, good night sweet soup, and Chinese and Western breakfast are all included.
If you drive, park in the parking lot opposite, and stay in the hotel for free.
WeChat butler service all day, special thanks to the front desk lady surnamed Xu, the service is very good, thoughtful and attentive. I will stay here next time I go to Suzhou.

One of the best hotels Suzhou has to offer and perfect blend of traditional Suzhou architecture with modern design.
We loved our room and the staff were very helpful, gave us a late check out when I informed them my partner was suffering from food poisoning.
Plenty of amenities in the fridge and the hotel gym is one of the best I’ve seen in China let alone Suzhou.
We loved the breakfast as well as the bar that’s just around the corner from the lobby.
Can’t wait to come back to Suzhou and stay here again.

There were some reviews on here complaining about the quality of the finishing. This is mildly true. there are small scuffs on wall. Small and doesn't detract from the stay.
The location is 15 min walk to shopping streets. Suzhou is flat so the walk is easy
Line 1 metro is 12 min walk away
There was some building noise due to a nearby shop doing some work, so we was offered an upgrade to a quieter room. This was nice and included a round bathtub. But even our standard smaller room had all the facilities and features listed above
New towels and such daily. Cleaned very well.
Andu in terms of features and facilities is comparable to Mecure, ManXin, Hilton. Maybe those places have slightly nicer finishes of material but considering Andu is almost half the cost, having a small mark on a wall is fine. Especially as everything you touch, tables, towels, sofa, shower, bed, floor are always super clean.
There are some general stores next door and the also sell fruit. Coffee shop opposite and a whole street of restaurants opposite.
The design of the public areas is great. Many hotels cheap out on this but it shows a level of care that this place had which is nice.
Rooms are designed well with chargibg points each side of the bed. Good lighting and blackout curtains
In our smaller room, there was a smell when you step into the room. But once you enter, after a moment, the smell is gone.
If you can get a bigger room, the one with bath, it's nicer.

My favorite breakfast is their fried chicken and bread. I didn't get to eat Laba porridge during the Laba Festival, but I didn't expect to eat it in the hotel. The hotel's operation and management are very good. No wonder the business is so good on weekdays. The breakfast restaurant is full. I, a traveler, love it too! ! ! I remember the first time I went there was on December 13th. At that time, the hotel seemed to have just opened and was still adjusting some details. A few days later, I went there again with my bestie. I was very happy to have breakfast. There were many varieties, and the bread was freshly baked and delicious! ! All categories are fresh. Later I came here once with my boyfriend, and it was very convenient to charge the phone here. Then I came here again yesterday, and found that the front desk staff here speaks very good English, and the front desk lady who received me was also excellent! ! I had a very good impression of her because I wanted to sign up for a Marriott membership and she helped me a lot with the process. What was particularly unexpected was that she also gave me welcome fruit. There are tips next to the air conditioner, which makes it very easy to turn it on. I didn’t know how to turn it on the first time, haha. From this detail, I can feel the operator’s intentions. The bathrooms are all Kohler, the towels are clean and have a light fragrance, and the bed is very, very comfortable! ! ! ! The quilt is soft. I took a lot of photos in the hotel. TTabita JessicaThis is absolutely like an all in one kind of stay, you can literally spend a week just exploring the hotel 🤣 they have many restaurants to try, a very cool and zen coffee shop, facilities like swimming pool and even scenic area call panmen square that have live performance almost every hour. The hotel is like a literal palace and you feel like living in a kingdom. The room is very good, they use all carpets, very comfortable i dont feel like going out at all, the breakfast is extraordinary you have so many choice.
They are very nice even making us the goose towel because we are on our honeymoon. super recommended. The hotel reception is also very kind, one of them borrow us their phone number to order food delivery becaue we dont have china number. Really really a pleasant stay

AAnonymous UserArrived at front desk to do checkin, male front desk attended to me and did my check-in. Shared that he did a free upgrade for us, and asked for a 5star review. (But i believe in an honest review)
Then came the deposit collection of 500RMB. Site show Cash/Credit/Alipay/Wechat Pay. Since i have excess cash with no use, i decide to do cash deposit. Not to mention site shows *non cash deposit may take 2-4 weeks to refund* The guy gave an unwilling face to receive it and wanted a change of deposit method, asking if i have Alipay or WeChat pay since ”We dont even use cash in china mainland anymore. We all use ewallets. Also, you giving cash deposit will require longer checkout process as it is more tedious” When i shared that this was excess cash with no use as i also use Alipay, he asked me to change my deposit method.
Next we wanted to do laundry, but it was a chargeable (?) facility. Other hotels are giving free laundry but here at this *5star* hotel is chargeable..? Nevertheless, for obvious reason, we can't use the self laundry service because it requires an APP installation and account setup that can only be tied to a local number, which we do not have as a tourist. When attended to front desk, we had to ask for specifically their help to run the washer and the first thing the male front desk ask was ”i can help you run it, but how do you want to pay me for the fees later?”
Went up to the laundry room with him at level 2 and he was enquiring if we can do Alipay or WeChat pay for the fees before he even assist with the wash. It was merely a 5RMB! Immediately ask for me to add him on WeChat and facilitate payment at soonest.
Free gifts by hotel - we only tried out the canal cruise. But of cos, for the reservation with hotel is 2H prior, but to receive the reservation details is with local number. Since I have already added their WeChat so they sent me the booking details with the local number confirmation. But we had issues at cruise to scan the QR code as it was not the right one.
Breakfast, basic spread i'd say. Not the best, quite limited but i suppose it's sufficient for filling up your empty stomach before finding alternative outside.
Room size is definitely spacious since ”upgrade” was given.
We transported around with DiDi but the drop off lobby is so tight that the drivers made us board the car on main road with so many cars moving, which can be quite dangerous especially we still have to check the carplate numbers.
Metro station, however, is just across the street. Which is very accessible for guest doing public transport.
All in all, i would say the hotel offers a very comfortable sleep for the room amenities but the hotel facilities and service requires more improvement.

AArtiyokoThe hotel was perfect for the atmosphere. I don’t know what’s with the names of the hotel in Shanghai but this one you can find by the name of Art and Romance hotel. The only thing not to our satisfaction was the room temperature water in the shower(not freezing but the showers were invigorating). Since we stayed one night it doesn’t really matter to us, so we didn’t brought this issues to the manager. The room is very pleasant, also don’t expect the good view from windows cause the main thing is the inner space for relax and the small garden with some kind of pagoda which probably is in the process of being restored. The breakfast was Chinese and premade by nice woman. The rice pie was delish. My mom and I really enjoy breakfast and staying at the hotel was very nice experience. We took a lot of pictures inside the garden. Rooms located on the second floor which can be accessed from the street(go upstairs) stairs just near the silk store. And the reception is on the first floor which can be accessed through the passage from the street and from the second floor where the rooms located.

GGallleyaThis is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to China. We lived in a separate house. It's quiet and cozy there. The air conditioner works well for heating.
The hostess is very friendly and kind. When we got lost during check-in, she herself came for us. Also thanks to the man who helped us when leaving the hotel.
Comfortable bathroom, good beds, spacious room. I highly recommend it!
