As soon as you step out of the inn, you can set foot on Pingjiang Road and feel the profound heritage of "One Pingjiang Road represents half of Suzhou's history." We understand that this is a newly opened hotel and perhaps they had never hosted foreign guests with a special visa (non-tourist visa) before. However, we had a very unpleasant experience. Around midnight, the staff nearly forced us to leave the hotel, assuming that we had overstayed simply because our entry date into China was more than 30 days ago. We are two women traveling together, and being almost kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night was extremely stressful and unsafe. On the positive side, the location is convenient — only a 7-minute walk to the famous Shantang Road. Tips for future guests: the hot tub is on the outdoor terrace, but since the weather is still warm and there are many mosquitoes, it’s not really enjoyable. Overall, it was not worth the money.
