I was lucky to choose Yiyuan. You need to book in advance! I decided to come to Tongli on a whim. I also did my homework. Finally, I was lucky to book the last room of the day. The preliminary work was good. I would ask about the arrival time in advance. They have a small car to help carry luggage. They will tell you the exact drop-off location to avoid detours. The environment is very good. The room is large and the bathroom is also large. I enjoy it very much. I live on the second floor. I can enjoy the courtyard by opening the window. Many attractions in Tongli Ancient Town are not open on the second floor. Yiyuan made up for my regret. Enjoy the Jiangnan gardens in the room. Watch the gardens and back the water town. Perhaps this is the charm of Jiangnan. The front desk lady will carefully send the surrounding food and instructions for using the facilities in the room. It is very comfortable and suitable for relaxing and staying for two days, listening to birds singing, blowing the wind, and being in a daze.

Suzhou is beautiful, Tongli is beautiful, but the time was too short. Everything in the hotel is good and beautiful, except for the night light, which lights up when I turn over in bed at night. I was woken up 3 times in one night, and then I unplugged the power cord. Also, there is no breakfast in the hotel. Although there are many foods in the ancient town, I still prefer to have breakfast in the hotel.

The hotel is on the edge of the ancient town, but not in the ancient town. You can enter the ancient town for free before 8 am and after 5 pm, but in theory there will be ticket checks at the entrance at other times. If you are lucky, no one can mix it occasionally. You can also borrow the boss's electric car to ride in without buying a ticket. The parking lot has to be close to 10 minutes. If you pull the suitcase, the stone road is still not very good. When I left, the boss drove a small three rounds to the parking lot ☀👍 The boss upgraded the room, you can view the river, opposite is the back kitchen of some restaurants, so the scenery is not as beautiful as expected 🤣 The only problem is that there are almost all problems in the ancient town. The sound outside in the morning is still quite noisy. After all, there are locals living in the ancient town. The residents on the other side get up early in the morning to work and knock on and wash. It is understandable. It is recommended to travel with earplugs. The rose flowers blooming at the door are particularly beautiful, and many Hanfu ladies come to check in 📷

The lady boss is super nice. She will prepare welcome fruit in advance and ask what you like to eat. The fruit she buys is also very fresh. She will take the initiative to help with the luggage and help send it off when you leave. If you are hungry at night, she will help cook instant noodles with eggs. Very friendly and helpful owner. Room was great. Hotel spans over a few separated buildings which gives privacy and feels like you're not staying in a hotel. We stayed 3 days but this is too long and we would recommend 1 or 2 days at most. The hotel is in a quiet area of the old town, but close enough to stroll a few hundred meters to experience the hustle and bustle. You'll need tickets to enter the scenic area to get to the hotel, but the friendly hostess helped us with this. Contact her before you arrive to save time. Scenic area: Lovely little water town. Three beautiful old homes with immaculate gardens. Our favorite one was Tuisi garden. Wake up early to avoid the crowds. The food inside the scenic area is not great (we suspect it's pre-cooked by a company that supplies to all the restaurants inside the scenic area) but going through the main gate provides for a lot of better options. Watch out for the residents on their motorbikes!

Secondly, the two shop assistants were extremely gentle and patient, and had extremely good tricycle skills. They took care of me at any time when I went in and out. Yueshang may not be the best inn, but it is very cost-effective and interesting. If I can come to Tongli again, I will still choose Yueshang.

Shuiyunjian is in an excellent location. It is very convenient to go anywhere and do anything. The price is very good. I feel like a local. I will choose this next time I come to rest. Handmade boutique coffee or Pu'er tea: I have to ask the boss for coffee every day🤣

I booked this hotel at random, at the very last moment and without much planning, the only thing a wanted was a bathtub. It exceeded all expectations - nice, cozy and clean, comfortable king-size bed, terrace (bathtub is also great). The owner made sure that I won't be lost, sent me a location to both a parking lot and to an actual hotel, suggested to help with the luggage and even upgraded the room for free. The location is also nice, you can sleep as long as you can and wander around the beautiful ancient city at your pace, no need to hurry or think about transportation. P.S. the kind owner also allowed me to check out a bit later, so I could have an extra time for rest
